I am curious, how would you design this card. We should not make cards for T1 specifically but please for once do Smile

I am also interested in what colour you guys would give it.

I would make it 3 casting cost but with 1 white phyrexian mana.

Hexproof Mage

1 {W} {W} (1 can be paid with phyrexian mana)

Worship - If you control 2 or more creatures, you have shroud.

{W} {W} (can be paid with Phyrexian mana): Target creature you control gains hexproof

2/2

So it will eat away your life resources but it does offer protection. The fact that it doesn't say 'I win' but more like 'I can't lose' makes it fair I think.

If it is too strong for some formats, please go ahead and criticize.

Since this doesn't actually grant the Worship effect, I don't see that much of a problem with the first ability. This is basically a True Believer with some creature protection tacked on.

The hexproof ability is probably too strong though. If the only way to activate were paying 2 life, that'd probably be fine, but Phyrexian mana can always be paid with the appropriate color instead. I'd suggest bumping the activation cost to {W/P} {W/P}. I'd have to research a bit to be sure, but my gut says WW or 4 life (or mixing/matching the two) is fine.

I suppose it's mostly the thought that this format is just one big Mistake; and not even a very sophisticated one at that.
Much like humanity itself.

I also think this is too strong.

You could also "fix" the issue by making it only able to target other creatures. This also balances the Worship ability.

Other solution. 2-3 Phyrexian mana to give ALL your creatures Hexproof.

Just to be clear though, it doesn't actually do what Worship does. I think that was just poor phrasing on Guli's part.
