Hey guys,

This is becoming a quarterly tradition in Magic.  They've printed yet another bomb for elf combo decks.  Check this one out:

Elder of Laurels  {2} {G}
Creature - Human Advisor (R)
{3} {G}: Target creature gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the number of creatures you control.
2/3
Illus. Terese Nielsen
177/264

This thing seems pretty good, but it competes with Ezuir, Renegade leader.  It doesn't give trample, but it can make enough guys absolutely huge.  What do you think?  Is the more toward the Copperhorn Scout or more toward the Green Sun's Zenith/Genesis Wave spectrum of elf cards?

I don't think this kill is better than grapeshot. Not even flusterstorm can counter 20+ copies of grapeshot due to all the mana you generate.

Elves doesn't need a kill card, it needs something that beats chalice set to one. Also people playing mental misstep hurts the deck a lot.

Exile Ancestral and turn Tiago sideways.

Engineered Explosives hits Sphere of Resistance and Chalice.  Seems like the obvious answer.

A link to the GitHub project where I store all of my Cockatrice decks.

Any interest in putting together/maintaining a Github Git project that hosts proven decks of all major archetypes and documents their changes over time?

That seems like a reasonable answer to lodestone golem. In a mono green deck.
