N.Y.S.E. XVI Official Report

EDIT: While searching through TMD today, I saw the N.Y.S.E. XV report and the N.Y.S.E. XVII report. I didn't, however, see the report for N.Y.S.E. XVI. So, while the report is old (the event took place at the end of July) I felt that it was still important to have the report up, in case anyone needed the information.

First things first: I’d like to thank the 31 players who came out to battle Vintage yesterday at Brothers Grim. We had a stacked top 8, but in the end Allen Fulmer’s East Coast Wins proved it’s name prescient.

So apparently this is what happens when you are hell bent on beating Shops. We had myriad interpretations of blue decks, and Shops were virtually shut out, in Shop country nonetheless. Dredge was a popular call and it’s understandable – Sun Titan Dredge is one of the fastest and most powerful decks in the format. The most exciting thing, for me at least, was the rebirth of Forino Sui Black, which tore through Gush decks all day long.
