Alex draws some cards, note the exiled recall. He also has an extremely rad beard!

Sam looks worried as John goes all in on 8 goblins against his empty shop board.

Travis hardcasts misdirection on  Brian's Hymn to Tourach. Epic Blow out! Check out those sweet white bordered french ninjas.

Chris starts burning Larry's face. Larry's bob helps.

Keith tries to decides which two cards to put back for brainstorm, BUT THEY'RE ALL SO GOOD (yep, that's lotus on the left)!

Richard decided to use Omniscience to cast gifts for free. He soon takes game one against dredge.

Derek is about to cry as he is forced to try and race a hard casted BSC and allow Richard to block with academy rector.

Big thanks to Xtreme games for putting up a vintage event every third Sunday of the month

John - Awesome report. This honestly looks like the most fun meta I have seen in Vintage in years. Pictures of cards like Guttersnipe, Omniscience, Hymn to Tourach, Intuition/AK, etc. make Vintage look significantly more diverse and playful than your garden variety Vintage tournament.

Hats off to Richard for splitting an event playing such an awesome and different deck! Can't wait to see some of this stuff next month when I'll be playing at Xtreme.

Sorry, bit of a rush last night. I'll check when I get back home. I'd assume brainstorm. One of the cooledt things with the deck was when Richard was attacking with double academy rector and Derek just had to take it all the way to like 10. I mulligans to five 6 times by round three, with a bye in there, so I watched a lot of vintage. Richard was completely on fire most of the event. You can tell by looking at the numbers he fine tuned the list a lot. There's only like a card or two I plan on swapping when I proxy this up, but I can see where he'd be right and I'd be wrong about it. The event was a blast. Additionally, mid was through some guy we never seen befor walked into extreme with binders of only old crazy stuff. Xtreme now owns some of the mintiest beta power I've ever seen befor! The day just would t quit with rad stuff at xtreme!

From the pictures, it actually looks like it might be Yawgmoth's Bargain.

Ill double check the ehole list later. bargain was decintely in there. At one point I watched Richard flash in rector and his opponent had claim in hand, and he plopped in bargain. Blow out!

I forget the exact putback, but I'm pretty sure it was Salvagers + Counterbalance (with Force hardcast mana open).

Still, good times at the tournament.  Thanks again to Eric and Shannon for setting it up, and hopefully next month I can actually pull more "true" locals in.
