I built the following list just to see if it would work, then I have goldfished it approximately 200 times, about 10 of which fizzled. The other 190 resulted in either a
1) Empty the Warrens of anywhere from 8-40+ tokens 2) lethal grapeshot or Tendrils
ON TURN ONE!
The deck surprised me about it's consistency with goldfishes.
Here is the list:
Black Lotus Mana Crypt Mana Vault Sol Ring LED 5 Moxen Petal 2 Chrome Mox 2 Mox Opal 1 Mountain 4 Simian Spirit Guide 3 Elvish Spirit Guide 4 Rite of Flame 4 Desperate Ritual 4 Seething Song
4 Burning Wish 3 Empty the Warrens
4 Gitaxian Probe 4 Manamorphose 4 Street Wraith
2 Past in Flames 3 Reforge the Soul Memory Jar
Sideboard:
Wheel of Fortune 1 Empty the Warrens 1 Yawgmoth's Will 1 Tendrils of Agony 4 Shattering Spree 4 Ingot Chewer 1 Mountain 1 Grapeshot 1 Pyroclasm
The Sideboard pretty much is there to beat Shops since you should trump all the other decks, and even on the play this deck should wreck Shops. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for reading.

Well I'd never play it, I was just wondering if it was viable and it would be cool to see someone play it.

Seems fun and all, but a deck that auto loses to shops or flusterstorm (on the draw), and potentially even Mindbreak Trap and Force of Will (on the play), it seems like a bad time.
Then again, last time SCG was in Denver, several belcher decks blew through the competition and landed in top 8 or close to it, so who knows?

If you're sticking with monored, maybe you should try Overmaster

This deck is basically belcher without charbelcher. I'm not sure why burning wish is better than a belcher in most cases. The mountain, I'd think, could be taiga and run 4 land grants (free storm+mana). Also, I'd think ancestral and tinker would be worth it, since you get more gas off ancestral and have plenty of blue (mox, lotus, manamorphose). Tinker also gets the belcher or memory jar for cheap. Would give you the sb option of BSC too. Street wrath just seems awful as it doesn't add to storm. ancestral, tinker, and maybe a pair of land grants could go here - and maybe a pair of belchers in place of a pair of wishes. Then again, all configurations of this are a glass cannon.
Either way the deck just folds to spheres, stony silence, and even null rod in most cases (not to mention the counters listed earlier).

Street wrath just seems awful as it doesn't add to storm. And Street Wraith is just bad overall. In a format where your opening hand is so important Wraith is just a random card. Does your opening hand have enough gas/draw/storm?? With Wraith you're only hoping on luck.

One of the Reforge the souls should be a wheel of fortune instead right? Or am I crazy?
All in all I don't see why this is better than beltcher. At least land grant gives you a free land more often than not, with this list as it is you are straight up trying to draw your one land, and your using one land not because you have to because of beltcher which you are not even using, but because you choose to.
Were I to play this I would def go Taiga, 4 landgrants, wheel of fortune, and probably cut the street wraiths.

Wheel of Fortune is in the Sideboard for Burning Wish. The one land isn't even necessary it's just there for mana and it's only a one of because u don't want to draw 2 lands ever. Land Grant does nothing after drawn off a draw 7 or Probe or anything whereas Wraiths draw you a card for free.

That's not true - land grant gets you a land, so it's +1 mana. Also, even without land left in the deck, land grant is free storm, whereas wraith does not add to your storm and instead gives you one random car - which could be an SSG or something useless. This deck is trying to win off storm, so a free storm card that adds mana isn't bad. A random cycler IS bad. Still, the exclusion of belcher makes no sense in this list. The list basically IS belcher, except with wishes instead of belchers - so you're not even capitalizing on being landless. Basically, you need storm 10 + 6 mana, or less storm + 4 mana and several turns....when you could just get 7 mana with no need for any amount of storm to deal 40+ damage in one turn by using charbelcher. It's essentially using a less-optimal win con just to play the new unrestricted card. Most belcher lists also ran some number of warrens as a secondary win con too, so you're not even gaining anything there.

Your strategy reminds me of Meandeck Tendrils, which was trying to achieve a similar goal. Maybe you can get some ideas from the theoretical approach that Meandeck used back then. They were also using very vew lands, and no Belcher You can find the primer here: http://www.starcitygames.com/magic/vintage/8825_The_Meandeck_Tendrils_Primer.html
