This is my third ever EDH deck (previous ones, Sliver Overloard, Glissa Traitor)
I am posting this to get some suggestions for better, funner play.
I don't enjoy "oops, I win" combos in EDH (Leyline Helm, Mindslaver Academy Ruins, Genesis Wave for 18, Infinite Time Warps), so I play a "fair" EDH deck. However, I don't expect to play against only other fair decks.
I play Magus of the Moon/Blood Moon to keep other decks in check.
I use MESMERIC ORB as a key piece to the deck. If I untap say, 8 permanents, then there are 8 seperate mill effects, which I can use to sift through my deck and play any instants of the top.
Also, I found out casting Mystical Tutor (twice) actually works, as I can cast the first instant I tutor for, before resolving the 2nd copy of Mystical Tutor.
TimeTwister, Time Spiral and Mystic Retrieval allow my to mill away all I want. I don't own either of Kozilek or Ulamog, or they would likely find a place in my deck.
If any of you have experience with this type of deck, I'd love to hear feedback. I've got 4 or 5 slots that can definately be something else (Spine, HyperDragon, Thoughtflare, etc)
Again, I have to fight for my wins, but want a fun deck to play. No insta-win. I do it the Izzet way! resolving a shitload of spells.
I currently have Tablet of the Guilds to gain life and fuel Reshape/Transmute Artifact.
