Not instant speed but no life gain makes this quite good for a r/w aggro deck. Can a vintage playable boros sleigh deck be built? I don't know but i'll sure as hell try.

Wasteland makes this card awful in vintage.

Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exiles are really good spot removal that do not require something else to be happening.  They are very effective against MUD.  MUD and some of the other creature based decks run 4 wastelands--making this card a means of 2 for 1ing yourself.  You can't do that in vintage and expect good results.

yeah if you're going to run this into wasteland you probably don't play much magic ever so i'm not sure that's a legitimate concern.

I guess you can't play this t1 against a wasteland deck, but that, in my opinion, is a non-issue.

path is amazing vs mud but ass vs decks you are racing (ie the rest of the field).

Continuing this seasons' theme of terrible cards that are getting threads on the TheManaDrain they do not deserve, we have: Chained to the Rocks!

Swords to Plowshares exists.  Path to Exile exists.  Both are better than this card.  If you MUST run enchantment-based removal, Seal of Removal exists.  That's really all you need to talk about here.

Heck, it has the "fixed" duration clause so you can't even sac or bounce it as it enters the battlefield for profit.  Bad card is bad.

but then you are playing basic mountains and basic plains in the same type 1 deck.  I was assuming you would at least be running plateaus.

There is another white enchantment removal that costs 1-- Soul Snare--which sees no play.

Ya'll were too busy looking at this downgrade to swords to plowshares that you missed the fact that Theros has obsoleted Ley Druid!

Rest in peace, little buddy.
