A few weeks ago I top 4'd with keeper at Bloomsburg and I absolutely loved the deck so I sleeved it up again with some changes to battle today in Lancaster at MVP. The deck is loads of fun and awfully powerful...below is the deck and a quick report! Oh and FYI all the Ral Zarek haters, you won't convince me otherwise because I love him. He has won me so many games by taking turns with Time Vault, and is great in a creature filled meta...

1 Mindbreak Trap
2 Ingot Chewer
1 Lightning Bolt
1 Viashino Heretic
1 Hurkyls Recall
1 Dismember

Round 1 Win 2-1 Rug Delver
G1 - He has some pressure and I go for vault key with force back, he has force and fluster...over shortly after
G2 - I take over this game with an ultimate RAL, then take 3 time walks which included tinker, yawgs will, etc...
G3 - He mulls to 6. I play key, and some fast mana...I end of turn mystical, which gets misstepped, and this opens the door for my tinker in hand if he taps out. He casts goyf on his turn so this is my window to win. I cast tinker for vault and win the game. He showed me he was holding Clique and Reb but no red mana out...

Round 2 Win 2-0 Dixon on Bug Control
G1 - I have Library and it takes over the game fairly quick
G2 - I fortunately get Library again but started with little control but a removal filled hand for his bobs. I end up librarying into some forces and other control. I cast time walk and then Ral Zarek which gets drained. On the walk turn I cast Jace, which resolves. I also have EE on 1 out afraid of his keyon board. I have 3 mana open, and I am holding REB, Drain, Force, Force, Mindbreak Trap, Jace, X...He decays my EE on my end step and I let it happen to keep open counter mana. On his turn he goes all in on tezz, I reb, he flusterstorms, I drain tezz, he forces, I trap force and fluster, he flusters again, I then force tezz. I win from there on out. He had another force in hand but no blue card, and same with me...

Round 3 WIn 2-0 Matt Murray on UW Angels (without angels, sowers instead)
G1 - Library goes to town and takes over and I Vault Key him soon after
G2 - I have a bomby hand and again I Vault Key him on turn 4 or so...

Round 4 ID but play it out and win 2-1 vs Oath. Played the match out for the title belt (title belt starts the day with someone and moves around he room with whomever wins the match. Murray had it and I won it from him. And whoever has the belt at end of swiss wins a random prize. I won a Vendilion Clique which was awesome)

Round 5 Win 2-1 Kenney on Dredge
G1 - He plays with a messy graveyard out of order and dredges troll for 7, and couldn't determine which was the 7th card AT ALL to back track, and receives a game loss. I truly believe I had the game anyway because I would have misstepped his therapy, then he attempts to dred return which I drain, then on my turn have 4 drain mana, with tezz and vault in hand and enough mana to cast and win...
G2 - He has a good hand
G3 - He keeps a non Bazaar hand and my hand has some gas which turns into Jace and Cage. I protect it a few turns then vamp for tezz and win a few turns after...
~ I could have just drew him into the top 8 since I was 3-0-1 and he was 3-1, but I decided to play it out in attempts to get top seed and not allow Dredge in t8. I win and he squeaks into the top 8 in 8th place...FYI this is me absolutely hating dredge and not wanting to face it in the top. Which didn't work. No offense or hatred towards Kenney, I just hate dredge...

Top 8 Win 2-0 Kenney on Dredge
G1 - I have turn 1 Tezz
G2 - He kills my needle, therapy on cage... he has lethal on his next turn. I mystical for recall. I recall on my turn into pearl, emerald, lotus. I cast them, cast yawgs will, mystical for force (holding tinker), recall into force/drain/jace, cast tinker for BSC, cast cage, and have double counter back up...

Top 4 Loss 1-2 Detwiler on Terra Nova
G1 - close game, he has 3 sphere out, I cast EE on 2 to wipe board then hopefully follow up with jace and tinker...he metamorphs my EE, blows it up killing my EE, and I lose
G2 - I end up stabilizing mid game with Hurks, cast Ral Zarek while Time Vault was out, and I take turns
G3 - I thought I was in the game when I had Jace out, he continues to drop man lands and has 2 mutavault and 1 factory out. My last use of Jacestorm sees, pithing needle, heretic, drain... I cast needle on mutavault. He plays yet another factory, attacks my jace and top decked null rod to kill me as I had 3 mox, and time vault on board. The game ended with me having heretic, chewer, and Ral in hand. The Null Rod sealed the deal though. This is definitely a winnable matchup. Props to Detwiler for playing well and drawing well!!!

Questions and Comments appreciated. I will say I am not putting this deck down for a while. This is 2 events in a row and it has been rock solid plowing through the swiss not losing a match at either event. Just lost some tight matches in the top 4. It will break through and win an event I have no doubt in my mind. The deck is a great blend of broken and board control/removal to handle the fish/hate decks. The deck is loads of fun and I recommend people to give it a whirl!!!

Props on the list.  I would assume that your gifts piles are  very entertaining.

Thanks and yes they are haha. Last event against shops I was able to cast gifts for swords/bolt/EE/wear-tear, and it pulled me back in the game killing some stuff and opening a window to win in g1

Always have Library in the blue mirror, this must be the best deck ever!  Let's unrestrict it, because that's fair!  /sarcasm.

Was a very interesting match despite the super strong starts from you. Was glad to have taken the draw in both games so the Library wasn't as devastating. Game 1 was a bit more interesting than you imply, as you neglect to mention that you a) Balance'd away your LoA after skipping an activation on it and after resolving Tinker you allowed my Deluge for 11 to resolve expecting a follow up, which was Jace. That read/decision by you was very astute/disciplined and I'm surprised that you decided to skip over it.

Yes library generally breaks match ups wide open. Unrestricting it would be a huge mistake. The balance play was wrong looking back. I should have just bounced Bob again with jace, then had library online the following turn. I definitely rushed things in a poor manner there...

That's a pretty sick read!  I totally would have drained the Deluge.  Congrats on the finish!  I love me some Keeper.

Congrats on the finish! I tested the deck out, and it felt very fun and powerful. However, i felt adding a singleton snapcaster was worthwile. Multiple times, I would have been able to win on my turn from eot gifts had there been a snapcaster in the deck. I coul have made a pile of key, vault, yawgwill, and snapcaster. Additionally, randomly drawing it would almost alwayd be useful. Also, you are right about Ral Zarek. He Performed very well. Once again, congragulations.

Thanks! I generally find gifts powerful enough to win games without snapcaster...but I have considered it. I just love every card in the deck and couldn't imagine making a cut to fit it in. I'm sure you could add it and have the deck run just fine, but it's not really what I want to do. Thanks again!
