Card Text: When a player plays a spell or a creature attacks, remove Norin the Wary from the game. Return it to play under its owner's control at end of turn.

So whenever anyone casts a spell, he's exiled.  When the opponent attacks, he's exiled so can't block, and if he attacks himself, he's exiled so he can't do damage.  Is he basically useless except for triggering EtB triggers repeatedly?

He is an all-star in my Purphoros EDH deck. And he has seen actual constructed play in Soul Sisters in Legacy.
