So I know that most of the smaller formats on MTGO survive on player run tournaments.  They're able to get sponsored by MTGO vendors and are free to enter.

This is a site I found when playing the Pauper format on MTGO.  The competitive aspect is toned down but still rewarding.  I was thinking that if the daily/premiere schedule wasn't working for us, we could organize something like this and even figure out better prize payouts.

There's some guys I know in the PRE community, I expect that after the VOCQ season, they'll be firing off some Vintage PREs.

Blippy has a vintage one every 1-2 months, i think it last 4 hours though. The classic quarter guys played in the event.

I honestly consider setting something like this up, but with a time much more friendly to the European playerbase. Would there be any interest? I'd aim it to be on Saturday or Sunday, around 5-7 p.m. CEST.

I mean even for the 2-mans, we're paying $4 to win $6. The PE got 64 players at $10 a piece and they only handed out like $200 in prizes. So literally any player run tournament would be better.

The PE hands out 93 packs, and at $7 a pack (wotc uses retail, and not market value), it paid out in 651 tickets.

Obviously it becomes worse value when the attendance maxes out, since prizes don't scale based on the number of players.
