The Winter Open!
Date: Saturday, December 27th 2014 Location: Top Deck Games! Address: 55 Haddon Ave, Haddon Township, NJ 08108
Registration: 11:00 AM Play Begins: 12:00 PM Format: Vintage Entry Fee: $30 K-Value: 10-proxy unsanctioned REL: Competitive, decklists required and penalized for errors
We all know that many Magic players have some time management issues. To reward a random player who shows up early, at every Vintage event I run, if you register before 11:30, you will be entered into a drawing for a free booster pack! Who doesn't like free stuff?! Also, as always, we do allow late entries, but with a Round 1 loss.
Prizes! 1st: $800 Store Credit 2nd: $400 Store Credit 3rd: $200 Store Credit 4th: $200 Store Credit 5th-8th: $100 Store Credit
I will be calculating the yearlong points, and announcing who has earned byes, but after GP Baltimore.
Also, this falls between Christmas and New Years, so I'd like to put together a sweet Holiday party after this tournament is done. What that includes? At a minimum, dinner and drinks with a great group of people. Save the date.

Nooooo isn't the Open usually on a Sunday because Standard is on Saturdays? Noooo.
Nooooo.
I will ask off and get laughed at very hard, but I will try.

Any plans on a hotel or place to crash?

Any plans on a hotel or place to crash? I think it's a great idea! The Holiday Inn is right down the road from the event site. It's an option.

Event was great! The top 4 ended up splitting so we could all go out for the party afterwards!
Tom Dixon (Gush Tendrils), Brian Durkin (Dredge), Shawn Griffiths (Martello), and Joe Milia (URx Homebrew w/ Punishing Fire/Dack Fayden)
I had a blast and really enjoyed the day. Thanks to everyone who helped me with cards and Matt Murray for shipping me the list.
