So, I was organizing my binders here and stumbled upon this old Commander staple I've been playing for some time and thought, I don't know exactly why, that it could fit Oath (I'd say 1-2 of maximum, maindeck).

I mean, it's a maindeckable removal that enables Oath. It's not uncounterable as Decay, but is more versatile (can even take lands out). What do you guys think?

The only play time i have with this card is in modern in Living end, where its amazing, but its a different format. But I cannot imagine it not being useful. It is a desert twister at 3 mana that turns on oath.

I've seen it used from time to time. It can certainly be used.

Well, I just wrote about it in the virulent plague thread. It saw some play before decay, and when the meta was less aggro. Nowadays is a suboptimal choice, but if you expect zillions of jaces or any other permanent that costs more than 3 (or karakas, btw), maybe it's ok to split with this and decay.

People played it when it first came out but it sorta of dissipiated and then was completely replaced by Abrupt Decay
