This seems like it could be the real deal. It is in effect strictly worse than preordain and costs 1 more mana. But it is an instant. Instant makes me pause to reflect on this that much harder.

So, yeah, I saw this and thought to myself, "Okay, who is the clown who is going to make a thread about Telling Time?"  This is conditionally better than that card because it can dump two trash cards instead of one, but... eh.  This is Wizards trying to replenish Blue's supply of cantrips in Modern after having banned all the good ones.
