Quick clarification: can Stifle stop a regeneration shield on the Troll? I'm assuming that Stifle targets the ability on the stack, not the Troll itself.

One additional clarification:

Speaking of Stifle, if it counters Basking Rootwalla's ability, the Rootwalla cannot be pumped again. The ability is considered "played" for the turn, even if it was countered. Correct?

Correct, though why they wouldn't just pump again in response to Stifle eludes me.

It probably has something to do with the fact that the Basking Rootwalla's controller CAN'T respond to the Stifle with another pump because, as you earlier pointed out, the pump has already been played for that turn.  Smile
