Pretty nice for black decks. Fear and 2 mana on the third turn. The best reasons is that it bypasses Chalice and isn't black.

No offense, but it seems kinda obvious to me that this is not a t1 caliber card. Anything that depends on having alot of (non-green) land in play is not a viable situation. Especially if its an aggro card like this.

If he was only 1 mana less, he might have been a replacement for Hypnotic Specter. Not being able to Dark Ritual the Golem out 1st turn is probably to much of a drawback, even if the extra point of power would be nice.

Yeah, it's clunky. I forgot what is was called, or the power/toughness, but white got a 6 mana affinity for plains, which means that you can cast it for 3 mana on turn 3...

Replacement for Phyrexian War Beast in the white weenie mana curve...

Odd affinity mana cost does suck, since it's underpowered, and you might not be able to get it in one turn earlier (minus, of course, mana acceleration). Yes, the Dross Golem is not T1.

Im not sure if the card is even playable T1. Where would it go. Sui dosent want it, nor dose mask. Void Maybe, but not really. Where would it ft?

foolinc, I am all for single card discussions, but if you put one up, put more thought into your post and write more than one line to get a discussion rolling.

Dross Golem is no Type I material for the various reasons pointed out already. The thread already dried out, so I will close it.
