I was going to play rector trix saturday, but instead im gonna play pillar ank im dead set against red but i think I could give this a try its just my style I like a deck that works with it self and makes you think a bit

Artifacts:
1-lotus petal
4-ank of mishra
1-sol ring
4-pyrite spellbomb(i like these so many uses in this deck) Idea
Red:
(enchantments)
4-pyrostatic pillars
(creatures)
4-mogg fanatic(aka)the real superman
4-gorilla shamen
4-sith firewalker(jakle pup replacement) Evil or Very Mad
(spells)
4-lightning bolt
4-incinerate
3-chain lightning
2-fireblast
2-shrapnel blast(maybe stay or go im gonna play test it but i think i have enough artifacts)

Land:
1-stripmine
4-wasteland
15-mountain

im open to options on this deck the only reason i went 2 fireblast and 2 shrapnel blast is because i figure sacrificing an artifact is better than 2 more mountains and i can use the 2 mountains that trigger the fireblast to cast the shrapnel blast and i might even remove chain lightning and add 1 more fireblast and 2 more shrapnel blast just because chain lightnings a sorcery and i hate having to cast burn on my turn if i dont need to just from experiance but any helps greatly appreciated thanks

This looks alot like Slax would've had I started building it after Mirrodin came out. Here's what I'm currently playing:

8 Mountain
4 City of Traitors
2 Crystal Vein
2 Ancient Tomb
4 Wasteland
1 Strip Mine
1 Tolarian Academy
1 Sol Ring
1 Grim Monolith
1 Mana Vault
4 Juggernaut
4 Myr Enforcer
2 Karn, Silver Golem
4 Goblin Welder
3 Ankh of Mishra
4 Sphere of Resistance
4 Pyrostatic Pillar
3 Blood Moon
3 Winter Orb
2 Mind's Eye
1 Wheel of Fortune
1 Memory Jar
1 Black Vise

Sideboard
1 Blood Moon
4 Tormod's Crypt
2 Boil
2 Pyrokinesis
2 Duplicant
4 Rack and Ruin

Obviously, making SB changes for your meta is tech. Run Sentinel in addition to Duplicant if you expect lots of Hulk/Reanimator. They're awesome.

Where is Price of Progress? That is one of Sligh's most efficient damage dealers. 4 should be mandatory between the MD and SB, with a bare minimum of 3 MD. That is unless your environment is 80% budget aggro.

I dont really know your metagame but if there is any dragon you might want to put some tormod's crypts on there. Although you do have blood moon and ank sometimes you just need a quick answer.

I'd really like to comment on Price of Progress: it doesn't belong in this deck. You're trying to play an aggressive Soft-lock with the Pillars and low-cc hate, and PoP doesn't fit that function as well as Blood Moon. There's only room for so much Nonbasic hate, and since you deal yourself a fair ammount of damage over the course of a normal game anyway, I'd have to advise against it. Moreover, if control stabilizes after a PoP, you're in a bad shape. Under Blood Moon, they have to remove it before they can stabalize, buying you more time.

I agree with the whole removing the chain lightnings, but i would go with PoP's instead of shrap blast and fireblast.

Which saturday are you going to play?  The 24th?

And this is off topic a little but i gotta know.  There's only one person i know that plays rector trix and sligh, uses pyrite spellbombs and would name himself Mungman and you fit all of those.  Do you play at a store in NY called Killinos?
