A weldable counterspell that fits in the Workshop mana limit.  My initial thought is that it would add to the lock nicely.  But the question I can't answer (because I haven't used Stax before), is does Stax need another lock piece?

One thing is for sure.  Every Workshop deck needs to be thoroughly rethought after we see the final spoiler of Mirrodin.

looks fun with goblin welder as a way to draw cards and get more saccable permanents.
