I was playing the Sui Black against wuaffiliate (Furry Gopher I think is his nick here?) and his Reanimator. I was apprehensive about this match up since 2nd turn Verdant Force seemed like a pretty bad thing for me. My Suicide black is fairly typical, it looks much like Legend Black. When I read his primer I changed my sideboard to look more like his since it handles aggro so well (he says, I haven't tried it). I skimped a little on land to make room for 2 Edicts main deck at the last minute. This was just a gut thing, but I'm sure glad I did it considering this match up . The 3 Ebony Charms in my board sure look good in this match too, thank god.
Game 1: I keep a hand of 2 Swamp, Wasteland, Consult, Hymn, Hymn, Negator. Depending on what he does I plan on Consulting for an Edict or Ritual so I can double Hymn. I go first and lay Swamp. Him: Swamp, Lotus, Buried Alive Reya, Iridescent Angel, Verdant, Reanimate Reya. Eep. That would be Consult for Edict then...I only have the 2 of course and 1 goes by in the Top 6 and I end up with 17 cards left after I find the other one, but that is enough since after I edict Reya he is down to 2 cards in hand and jams at 1 land for a couple turns. I Duress away an exhume I think and the Negator and a Shade end it quickly.

Again, I had a good draw so I could deal with the first threat and he just didn't have anything to follow up with. He was a very cordial opponent and took the loss graciously considering that sui is probably a pretty good match up most of the time. Fortunately I have a bad sui deck with Edicts main! Interestingly enough, he is from Ontario, Canada, same as me. All these people from other countries 2 Ontario boys find each other anyway. Hope to see you in T8 anyway man, you should whup those Stackers!
