ToC Issue, I need to make this public, Read please

Hello, I am Joel Rojo, aka Nimrod, and Im playing in the ToC.

Well, my 1st round opponent was James Brutvan, who didnt got in contact with me, I mailed him like 3 times, and made a sacrifice to stay at #bdchat at the times I said I would be there, (I say sacrifice because I was working 10 hours a day at the time).

Tough, he didnt showed up, when the time was running out, I decided I had to mail Redman, so I did, he said that if my opponent didnt got in contact with me, I would get a match win.

He didnt got in contact, I assumed Redman had gave me a win, he didnt.

When I saw the pairings for round 2, I noticed me and my opponent had 1 point, so I mailed Redman trying to be polite and assuming a confusion had happened, but he told me that my opponent DID mailed him, tough he didnt mailed me, or tried to be in contact with me.

So my opponent WAS there, and didnt replied to my emails, but he replied to Redmans emails and we got a tie... because of avoidance.

This makes me both sad and angry in many ways, first, I thought I had a good chance at this ToC, being the only Oath deck in a Aggro Field, second, because seemingly now you can just avoid what you think is a bad matchup for you, and get a tie (also hurting your opponents score), and third, because I made a sacrifice to meet him, he didnt even tried and got the same result.

So, I (and the only mountain goat in the whole ToC) are signing out of it, in protest and disappointment, I might continue of it if things sort out, but as they are right now, I feel rather bad.

If you can muster any reliable proof (I can probably help with some #BDChat logs btw), I suggest you keep trying. Let's get him DQed. If such behavior in fact did happen and is not struck down upon in the ToC, I'll leave it too, in protest.

I've talked to both Nimrod and Redman.  What it boils down to, right or wrong, since judges make the calls, is that previous to the points getting split 1-1 between Nim and his opponent, Red told Nim that his opponent would have to contact HIM, not just the judge, to avoid flat out losing the (non-existant) match 3-0.  I sort of see why Red made the call he did, but I don't agree with it, and am in agreeance that, since both Nim and Red acknowledge that to be truth, Nim's opponent should be dropped.

  I'm sorry that that happened to you. I had thought you had a good chance of doing really well and it's just a shame you chose to drop over this bad incident.
  Your opponent should definently be dropped. Avoiding a bad match up to get a draw should _not_ be acceptable behaviour. EVER.
  After what Cid said, I'm not even sure why it was a draw as it seems it was agreed he was avoiding a match up for that one purpose.
   Again, my sympathies.

Nimrod, I appreciate your letting us know of your concerns.

I am having little luck getting a response from my current opponent in round 4.

I don't think people should get away with avoiding bad matchups to get rewarded with a draw.

After reading this thread I plan to act proactively and email both my opponent and Redman with my complaint that my opponent is avoiding me.
