Yeah, well, in an attempt to get the upstate Type 1 community rawkin and rollin, I might be hosting a series of power tournies(the first 2 would likely be for Time Walks, after that, who knows).
I will be judging these tournaments for the most part(I may alternate with a friend of mine who is a judge, he judge, I play etc). I am going to talk to the local store(Centerfield Cards and Comics) about getting space sometime this week.
I want to know when's good for anyone(and if there's interest). We're pretty centrally located compared to Syracuse(where the Invitational was). So I'm hoping for good turnout. As for the 2nd-4th place prizes, those are up in the air(but I have access to ALOT of good older cards, so they'll likely be things like Mana Drains, Moats, Berserks and maybe even Libraries).

Our Rochester crew (me, Kaaos82, JohnB) would definitely try to make it - maybe we could even get a few 1.5 players to try it out.
Saturdays would work best for us since I run the 1.5 here on Sundays.
I assume this would be the 5-proxy format?

I would assume at least some of the CT people would come to these. In the past, the date hasn't really mattered, as the majority of us(read: Everyone except me) go to pretty much all of the tournies within a reasonable drving distance. Hell, I might even come because I get my license in 2 weeks

I'm interested, and I'm sure Mike would be interested too. When exactly will these tournies be, because I'm going on Vacation in like a month and i don't want to miss it.

I need to talk to the shop owner here in Binghamton. When I do, i'll post about it. Right now, I wanna make sure there's sufficient interest.

I'm pretty sure you guys can count the Hadley crew in on this. As long as you put out enough notice so I can take the day of work and such, we'll be there.

Damn...nobody tells me anything.
I'm starting to feel like the senile grandfather that you stick in the nursing home and forget about.
Seriously though, are you sure Centerfield has enough space for this business? I'm guessing at least 20 locals will show up before you can even start to count the heads of any out-of-towners.
I'm pretty sure that you can count on things getting really big, really fast if this turns into something consistant. Monthly Lotus tourny anyone?
This is actualy quite fitting, since the 4-year anniversary of Binghamton Type 1 is rolling up on April 22nd. It brings a tear to my eye.
