If you get more than 3 points playing against my deck, I will be quite impressed. I don't think it's possible to get better than 3-3 or 2-2.

I think it is possible - but it is a specific hate deck.

I am deciding between running the bomb deck, and running the hate deck.  It depends on how many people know about the bomb deck...

The current go 'round seems pretty busted, but if the next one is basic land-only--that'll be interesting.

I keep wanting to make a 4cb deck this go around. Make a nice Channel Fireball deck. i think my deck will be a good 3-3 across the board. But who knows. I'm excited to see what comes out of the wood works.

"As an ammendment,
I think for the only basic land tournament, we should either ban artifacts, or ban the moxen + black lotus.  Otherwise it defeats the point.

Let me specify the format for the next 3CB:

The only way to add mana to the manapool will be by use of basic land. No dark ritual, no LED, no lotus, no vineyard, no nothing. In addition, no non-basic land is allowed. So it will be wet islands, hot mountains, dry plains, lush forest and damp swamps only! There is no limit to the number of lands you play, so 2 mana drops are still available
I don't think it is required to ban artifacts, as the coloured cards in general are more powerfull than the artifacts (at least in the 2 CC range).

Any questions?

PS: Jacob, thanks for the message about your secret tech deck, but I think I can calculate the difficult matches quite nicely \n\n

I'm really regretting not having spent more time on my entry. This deck-bomb-diggity has me all scared and shit.

But won't swamp , cabal therapy , the rack be a killer entry then?

Hmm, you are right Cyberknight, so the next format will be artifact-less after all

edit: damn, wasted post # 500 on this  \n\n

Do dual lands count as basics, or do you have to use 2 cards of the same colour? Does "basic land only" mean just that, or are the dual lands in that category too? They're both basic and non-basic, if you get my drift...

Dual Lands are nonbasic. (In the oracle, they all say "Land - Foo Bar", not "Basic Land - Foo Bar".)

So, the only mana producing cards we're allowed are the 5 basic lands, and presumably the 5 snow-covered basic lands. What about lands which don't produce mana? Can I play The Tabernacle At Pendrell Vale?

And Cyberknight: Cabal Therapy is still a killer entry. Presumably you just want to stop people playing Swamp-Therapy-Rack, but Swamp-Therapy-RandomCreature is ok?

Banned stuff for new entrys:
Artifacts
Non-basic lands

Snow-covered has supertype basic (I think this is correct wording), so still legal.

So this would mean dark ritual is still legal (like ritual hyppie is good, not!). Cabal therapy is still allowed.

With approximately 60% of the matches calculated, it looks like we are gonna get an unexpected winner
Results should be up within the next 24 hours.
