I have a very interesting challenge for you.

Let's assume that the DCI doesn't want to completely kill the archetype dragon. But they do want to slow it down and kill it in type 1.5 (since this is the only deck that really breaks spoils of the vault in 1.5 and the one and only reason creative nonabusive cards like chrome mox and spoils of the vault may need to get restricted).

So instead of errating it, they restrict the card!! We already know that even if Lion's Eye Diamond and Mishra's Workshop get restricted, it won't kill Rectal Agony/Long or Workshop decks, just slow them down slightly since unpowered versions of these decks are still viable.

So how would restricting Dragon impact the deck? It only needs one copy to combo off and there's always buried alive, survival of the fittest and various tutors to help get it out consistently. But it would mean that the deck can't abuse bazaars as easily and won't consistnely be able to combo off on turn two and instead needs three turns. If this is the case, restricting these three cards could go a long way in slowing vintage down a notch. Or am I wrong in thinking a restriction would slow down dragon?

I think this is a million times better than the DCI opting to restrict another card instead like Bazaar to hurt dragon.

Lets work on some builds, how fast can we make Dragon combo off consistently assuming Dragon gets restricted? It'll be a great test of deck building skill.

simple question, if wgd is restricted, do you think think that would slow down the deck a turn without hurting it's consistency and viability?

I find it amusing that someone who is complaing about combo winter II is discussing how to tune a deck that is already causing problems in the current metagame.

I think it would severely hurt the deck.
I really don't think Bazaar Dragon would be viable anymore.
We'd have to try BG, Mono-B Buried Alive, or meshing it with Reanimator or something crazy like that.

I'm confused. Why do you want to discuss something based on an event that ISN'T going to happen?

Come Monday, you will realise what a waste of bandwith this thread is.

centroles, I worry about your blood pressure.

This issue is nonexistant. Just wait until Monday and you will see how unretarded the DCI is.

so we basically go back to the versions of dragon we played before we discovered the almighty bazaars, the versions that often took three turn to consistently win the game? that might not be so bad.

No, it would be a lot worse, because we don't have Entomb anymore and you can't splash blue either because Intuition would be unusable.
Turn three would be lucky.

The deck would have to completely morph again, and I really don't think that it would come back stronger this time.
