I'm creating this thread to help people keep up with all the past posts on budget decks.  I hold that [Budget Decks] should not contain any cards worth more than $40-50 each and the overall values should be less than or around $200.  This list will only contain links that actually have decklists and/or have generated substantial discussion.  When I come upon a decklist that meets the requirements, I'll post the link here:

Combo
Long.dec *NEW*

Monoblack Woldgorger Dragon *NOTE: Cards for the most part are cheap excluding Bazaars ($30 each).

RectorTrix

Egg'Cademy

Oath *NOTE: Good discussion.  Some decklists have power.
Oath *NOTE: T1.5.  Discussion of creature choices.

Enchantress

Aluren

Wind

Aggro-Combo
B/U Mask *NOTE: Masks are rather expensive ($50+).
Monoblack Mask

FEB

Aggro
Suicide Black

Ankh Sligh
Goblin Sligh (Red Stompy)

White Weenie

Stompy (Green)

GroATog

Aggro-Control
Gay Fish

Hulk *NOTE: T1.5.  The only version I could find without Power 9 included.

Control
Slax (Stax) *NOTE: Really modified Stacker 3, though they say Stax
Dirt Pile *NOTE: Combination of Stax and WelderMUD

B/G Void

EBA

Urphidian

ATS *NOTE: Type 1.5 Build.

Parfait
Parfait *NOTE: Discussion only

rOse

Looking for the following Budget Decks (if possible):
-B/U WGDragon
-Tendrils
-Monoblue Trix

Bebe has recently compiled a list of Budget Decks and posted them all here.
Here's the original thread in the Vintage Forum that started the whole [Budget Deck] concept.\n\n

Lockdown, you could help me a bit!
If you are interested in the budget decks, please continue this list, but add only ONE, in some special cases two threads for each deck! Of course you add the one that you think is the best both in decklist and discussion, read, the most useful one. This may cause you to re-evaluate older threads and edit the link if a better one shows up!

Then I will add this thread to the Jumpstation which means it will be a second layer Jumpstation like the Primer Thread.

I've had this up for a few days.
Budget Combo Deck - Wind

It's a budget version of WaSP and Deletheead's eternal wind deck that I've been playing for about 3 weeks now.  So far it's been doing pretty well for me.

A note about my list - I have an ancestral recently aquired, that I put in the deck, but it is completely replaceable.  Sometimes when playing the deck I even wish it was just another enchantment, as that would get me more cards, it makes opening hands easier obviously, but you can get by without it.  Wasp also makes some good points about making the deck budget.

Well, any brave soul that would like a fun and competetive budget deck could look up the Enchantress deck. The deck will be better with P9 (whicht deck wouldnt?) and with missing moxen you should have a hard time keeping up with random stuff like Stompy (!).

The deck list presented in the link above is fully customizable after your own personal taste too (I run Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest as a third win condition, together with 2 Sacred Mesa. This acutally makes the deck cheaper as you have to run more basic lands that way) and I have used lots of maindeck options in the search for the perfect build for me. I don't belive in splashing blue though

What are you waiting for?

Speaking of cheap decks.
I just won a type 1 tourney about, half a week ago, with an unpowered Weldertron deck.  (like welder MUD or stax, but runs blue for tinker and draw power.)
The deck itself was even unfinished, it only is suppose to run tangle wire.  Ironicly enough I only had one tangle wire, but the deck was so powerful it preceeded to win the tourney.
This may not seem like that big of a deal, but there was a fully powered hulk deck at this tourney and a half-powered Neo-Academy deck.
The rest of the decks were like mine, unpowered power decks.  (survival and stompy and such.)

This proves that lack of money does not equal lack of quality, as well as the fact the Welders are a power to be reconn'd with.

PS:  Weldertron runs Urzatron instead of workshops.  (trust me they work.)

How can any artifact deck be budget?
Last time I checked, all of them need Workshop and that's almost as expensive as a mox.

4 of them is easily $550.

Not all artifact decks run Workshop ...

For instance, you can run a Bazaar/Squee Engine with Goblin Welder and do some pretty broken shit. All you have to do is HATE the opponents manabase and moxen into submission. 4xChalice of the Void is pwnage. The first drops for Zero, then the second for 2. Follow it up with Core/Jug/Suchi beets and your pretty damn fast out of the gates. Use the Ankh, Pyrostatic Pillar, Winter Orb lock and watch them scream. You could even run the Madness burn for grins, LED might be useful. Hmm, I think i'll write that deck up and get back to you. Budget wise, anything with Bazaar of Baghdad is really pimp.

Power and Duals are SO over rated

Agreed. I think that fetchlands actually are more important in some decks than duals. And for the sake of power ... well, there is a bunch of Decks that are really good even without it (like Sligh, Sui and ... oh, yeah! Stompy )

And on a side note, what about UG Madness?

Budget Deck Building is a zen art.

Madness is very budget.

I don't like Blue/Green tho', Black/Red/Green has better synergy. Madness needs early disruption and Circular Logic just doesn't work .Force of Will costs you an AK or DA, which can hurt. Black is just all around better, for budget, you get Duress and Cabal Therapy with Yawgmoth's Will. You simply don't need Blue's draw power in Madness, you should be winning the game as quickly as possible, and an early offensive covered by black disruption is just stronger off the fly. You may lose a few Madness outlets, but 12 is still a lot.

i'd say one of the best options is words of wind/enchantress
the extended version with a few updates
like taking out 3 frantic searches and adding 1 minds desire, 1 time spiral, and 1 venduran enchantress

its quite fast and i have been able to consistantly place high in our t1 tournaments.  and yes most of the other people have power cards and large budgets.  It can also beat keeper pretty easily
the deck is cheap as it runs about $120

the only problem is that it is very difficult to play and requires a lot of practice

Sorry everybody, been away for a bit.

@possesedaven & sytupal
This is not the place for decklists.  Please create a seperate thread for them.

@bubonic
If it gets more constructive replies, then I'll add it.

Decklist deleted.

This is NOT a decklist thread, people. Decklists go in their own threads, so we can discuss them. This is the third time I've had to delete a decklist in this thread, and if people won't stop, I'll have to start handing out warnings.

Now I've pushed my limits in this thread. I'm aware. Therefore, no more deck lists for me.. though i found it tempting....
@Jacob : you seem annoyed

Just in my nature i guess... anyways.

I don't agree with the Suicide Mini Primer. i've thought about posting something on the thread but this thread is just more read and i can probably get my point across better.  - Okay. the mini primer is flawed.  If it's been touched upon in the thread than the original writer should have made some sort of editing. it's justnot good enough in todays meta.  Any non fully powered enviornment or even some powered enviornments with some insane thought of type 1 control non keeper will run over this deck.

Items i feel should be touched upon

Null Rod MainDeck: AH! no ! badness...throw down a chalice for zero dammit! save that card for something more useful! so many better possibilities.  Even in a fully powered proxy or non proxy tournament with several stax decks it's better to play with even 4 sideboarded.  If they are in there specifically for moxen and just a bonus for stax/mud then side them and use chalice for zero.

Demonic Consultation:

I've died 4 times using this card.. not because i didn't get the card but because after 2 straight attempts in different matches my opp let the consult go through, let me find my card. and forced the damn thing..... 4 turns later....oh lookie here i decked myself.. you know. it's not worth the risk. don't play it.  And yes. once i searched for a card with 2 copies left in the deck and hey look. stacked numbers 4 and 5 off the top... wonderful...
game set match. ow.

After that, consult was short lived in my deck.. i never have issues with draw. starting hand is fine for richard.
well lets see let me post my decklist.......
ahem...
I guess that's it for now..   Minor joking factor  coming from Richard?  okay? no bad warning? i don't like warnings. - i enjoy posting here...

-my two non warned cents.

Hi everyone i'm new here and i love this thread thanks ! But i can't seem to access the Hulk type 1.5 decklist for some reason, even when i'm logged in ?? Also connected to this post is another with deck lists on it, although outdated. Is the hermit reanimator deck still viable in the type 1.5 scene ? I was thinking of building it, but dont' know whether anyone has had new suggestions on it and dont' know how competitive it is. Your feedback would be appreciated thanks !

That would be becase that list was made while there was still a 1.5 forum.  That link needs to be updated to the new combined 1.x & 1.5 forum.  Also, some of these are outdated, I agree, but I need new updated lists before I can update these links.
