hey everyone! im new to this board, so i will post here. please help with this deck:

Artifacts
3x Howling Mine
3x Isochron Scepter
1x Spellbook
1x Feldon's Cane

Creatures
1x Morphling

Enchantments
4x Stasis

Instants / Sorceries
4x Thwart
4x Force of Will
4x Counterspell
4x Arcane Denial
4x Boomerang
2x Foil
2x Cunning Wish
1x Gush
1x Braingeyser

Lands
17x Island
4x Forsaken City

Sideboard:
1x Icy Manipulator (looking to change this)
2x Chill
2x Douse
4x Blue Elemental Blast
4x Hydroblast
2x Hurkyl's Recall

Basically, I try to counter whatever they play, and get a boomerang on a scepter. I can put whatever on the other 2 scepters. I play stasis, and end of opponent's turn, boomerang stasis so i can untap. I try to kill with morphling or deck with stasis, mines and braingeyser. My biggest troubles have been red (burn or sligh) and affinity, so i can wish for what i need to get. Please let me know what to change!

THANX !

First of all, welcome to TMD. A few suggestions would be:

1. Add brainstorms. Right now it doesn't look like you have all that many draw spells, it would be good to add some.

2. If your deck is based on getting boomerang on an Isochron Scepter, it might be a good idea to add a fourth scepter. You might also want to cut a boomerang and put one in the sideboard so that you can wish for it.

3. Cut arcane denial. There are plenty of counterspells that don't let your opponent draw cards and them getting a card out of a counterspell is bad. Try replacing it with mana leak or miscalculation (probably mana leak).

4. Fire/ice is amazing on an isochron scepter, even if you don't use red. Even if you draw it without the scepter you can always ice a land to cycle it.

5. Spellbook isn't all that useful, and feldon's cane doesn't look really necessary. I think 3 howling mines might be a bit too many, I'd try 2. Finally, I think 18 is too many counters, 15 is better.
Those are the only suggestions I can think of for now. Most of the cards I suggested are very easy to get. So, to sum it all up:
-1 spellbook
+1 isochron scepter
-4 arcane denial
+4 mana leak
-2 foil
-1 boomerang
-1 feldon's cane
+4 brainstorm
-1 howling mine
-1 Thwart (not sure on that one)
+2 fire-ice
fit 1 boomerang into the sideboard
Good luck with the deck deck,
Sam

Eww, Stasis and Scepter/Boomerang! I like that idea.

You might want to get rid of Howling Mine and Arcane Denial, giving your opponent card advantage is a little antithetical for a Control deck. A Fourth Scepter and Impulses should do well for you, Impulse > Brainstorm in MonoU. Instead of Arcane Denial, you could try out a card called Daze, its a free counter that returns an Island to your hand. I'm not exactly sure how that works on an Imprinted Scepter, but if you could trigger the Daze's ability to return an Island to your hand it would be

To speed your deck up some, try out Ancient Tomb. It allows first turn Scepter/Imprint drops. In the absence of Moxen, it could definately be some good for you.

This deck is very

Welcome to TMD

Interesting deck, I think that it needs powder kegs, to kill that evil little shit that has been troubling you.

energy flux = affinity pwnage

You already have some   magic so I suggest continuing on working on your deck.

EDIT: energy flux + stasis = affinity scooping (and you laughing...stupid artifacts Evil or Very Mad )

If he is winning by decking then feldon's cane and howling mines are essential. One morphling cannot be relied on alone, because it could be the very last card in the deck.

That is a great idea, I would put 2 maindeck and 2 side, probably for 2 arcane denial maindeck. And for 1 hydroblast and 1 icy in the sideboard.

I would try to add a stroke of genius in the sideboard.  It is a good cunning wish target and can be a late game win condition.

Also, Back to Basics is a basic inclusion.  It really is strong right now, and may be argued as better than Blood Moon becasuse of Sceptor.

Also, add a time vault.  This is another win condition.
