What does eveyone think of the idea of Platinum Angel in Oath? It can stall for ever (backed up by counters) and against decks that do not have large flying creatures such as say Suicide Black it can kind of finish them off (backed up by counters of course). It can also be cast of a Mana Drain easier than Akroma. In addition it can stall like Spike Weaver.  With all this in mind is Platinum Angel at least worthy of a consideration of a spot in Oath?

I amused myself by running Angel off Tinker in 4C control for a little while... harsh janky, but it beats bad aggro and combo decks like you wouldn't believe.

What does angel really offer to Oath, though? If you have an activated oath, you should have effectively won the aggro match-up. Control has so many tools for smacking oath it isn't funny, and angel just piles fragility on fragility - something like Akroma or morphling is infinitely better. The only time I can see this coming in handy is vs. combo - laying oath seems like a bad use of mana most games, but I suppose against some builds of dragon if the game drags out it might be ok...

Test it if you like, and amuse your friends, but I don't think it will be the next Ravenous Baloth...

Instead of Oathing up something that allows you to 'not lose' why not Oath up something that allows you to win, like you should?  There's already a good deal of artifact hate, why make yourself vulnerable?  Not to mention she cant off herself if you need something different.  Tell us how this is better than the current creatures you run in Oath.

With Oath, you just activate and win a couple turns later.  Its like a slow combo deck that's only effective against aggro.
