You may want to check the errata on Basalt Monolith; it can't untap itself.

It really has some of the weirdest errata.

What you could do, is run the mana through something like Initiates of the Ebon Hand, but that makes it a 3-card combo .

You could try fabricate, or maybe a splash of white for enlightened tutor...fetching either part of the power combo could be handy

Hi,

I have the about same deck concept only I splash black and white for tutoring.
It's very easy to disrupt so not very viable to play, still fun though.  I have a question though how will you be using prosperity??? because you will draw yourself to death too

good luck for the further deck building

wow... thats a weird errata.  it makes sense though, cuz it prevents tapping and untapping infinitly causing draws i s'pose.

i will use fabricate then!

you do not lose the game because you cannot draw any more cards.  you lose the game because you cannot draw any more cards during your draw phase.

i can cast prosperity for a million and not lose.

Any time you have to draw a card and cannot due to having no cards in your library, you lose.

This is regardless of what causes you to draw.

If all players deck themselves with Prosperity, the game results in a draw.

ehh
you still can win like this, but you'll need something to stop yourself from drawing
the obstinate familiar and pursuit of knowledge will do to make it a one sided stroke

I think that you can die whenever you have to draw a card and cannot.

You don't die from being decked (say by that bastard Ambassador Laquatus), but if you cannot draw, you lose. Draw phase or not.

You could replace the drawing effect (say with one of the winds)... but if you cannot, you lose.

ps: oops... I actually missed the instance before where this was discussed...

The basalt monolith's errata may seem weird today, but it made sense when they issued it. in antiquities (may have been AN, i forget it wa so long ago) there was an enchant artifact that said "whenever enchanted artifact becomes tapped, you may deal 1 damage to traget creature or player" or something resembling that and it made a two card first turn kill that had to be stopped =)

Just Prosperity for your whole deck, exactly, and if you don't win by that you, obviously, have your Braingeyser in your hand for the win.

Another kill condition is Magma Mine

Ja, that enchantment was Relic Bind.  Both it and Basalt Monolith were heavily errata'd as a result.

You need a mana filter, such as Bog Initiate, or Skyshroud Elf.
