Since I always loved provoke, I made this up:
"Some" Lance
3
Equipment
Equip 2.
Equiped Creature gets +3/-1 and Provoke.
I'd say it's costed to look like Fireshrieker, which is probably better, yes this is actually removal ofcourse in limited. I have yet to choose where the Lance would come from in terms of story background, so the "Some" at some point would have to turn into some place, and maybe a fitting flavortext.

If you want to use this Lance, you're going on the full attack, thus leaving you a little more vulnerable. And since when do small Llanowar Elves have capabilities of carrying Lances?

How about... Lance of Longinus? It's a cool name unless you don't want any real world references. The name also makes it sound legendary and it might have to be reworked to become more powerful. Anyways, just an idea.
Edit: Just thought of some flavor text.

@Jacob: And that is a problem why? Fireshrieker sounds like a red card. Artifacts are allowed to do things that other cards can do and have their flavor as well. They just can't do them as well as their colored counterparts. Look at Rancor and Bonesplitter. Their was an article someone did one magicthegathering.com, can't remember who though, that explained Artifacts part in the color wheel. |
