I really Like This thread and personally wanted to contribute to it however it has been only shown in the Type 1 Forum so I've chosen to give us a link so we can read all the previous posts and add some thoughts of our own.  I was hesitant because i don't want stupid responses.  I'm a huge fan of anything that runs B/X      with X being another dominant color.   I am working on a build myself however Zherbus beat me to a post.   Once i do a few more tweaks and conversions and do playtesting I'll post my List up on this Thread.

http://www.themanadrain.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15622

In my build right now I'm still going with a more black build with less Brown usage so Shades make a showing and so will the Hymn to Tourachs.   Hand control seems more important than ever and If its thought about, a Hymn can really screw over some decks now adays.  Control builds especially.  The times that Hymn's hurt however is when you accidently make a well placed Slaver go into your opponents graveyard for some oopsies.  I still feel that with all the control builds running around that they prove to be solid.

Mine still runs the Wretches because it can take out those Slavers along with any dragon builds still running around (especially in my area).   Besides, they're a solid 2/2 for BB and are an all around good card against decks running the Will or welders.

The Deeds seem reasonable especially with the rise of Artifact builds.  They just say boom.  My only concern is all the permanents in the deck.   Deeds say boom to you too....

I must say i agree with the sinkholes now adays however i think I may run a lone Dustbowl that needs to be tested.   Hopefully Tomorrow or the next night I'll be able to give up a list and have Zherbus look it over for some thoughts.

The Deeds sort of worried me,  I know they eliminate alot of things but they also destroy your chalices which is half the deck.  I was thinking.  What about nether void again? maybe just 2,  I mean, it makes all spells cost at least 6, thats just ridiculous.

Because without Deed the deck scoops to Workshop decks hard.

Agreed, Void always had a problem with Workshop decks, espically TnT.  Deed helps the matchup immensly and makes an auto loss a winnable matchup.

Could Red be useful at all as an anti-artifact color?

After a little research, blue has things like Hurkyll's Recall and Energy Flux, that may be useful...just a thought.

Deed simply does more.  Not only is it good against Workshops but it's useful in pretty much every matchup.  It clocks aggro right in the face and  it even hits Decree tokens if need be.  Green simply has faster removal (Oxidize+Naturalize)  and is immune to things like ReB whereas things like Recall and Flux are not.
