I'm playing a version of this in type two that's capable of a turn three kill
with a perfect draw and turn four pretty consistently and the pieces (Tog and Grieves) are cheap enough for type one so I figure a type one build
is worth a shot...

Kill Cards:24
4 Myr Enforcer
4 Frogmite
4 Atog
4 Arcbound Ravager
4 Disciple of the Vault
4 Shrapnel Blast

Other Stuff:22
4 Lightning Grieves
4 Skull Clamp
4 Thoughtcast
4 Chromatic Sphere
1 Timewalk
1 Ancestrall
1 Yawgmoth's Will
1 Wheel of Fortune
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Demonic Consultation

Mana Base:14
4 Glimmervoid
1 Tolarian Academy
5 Moxen
1 Lotus
1 Mana Crypt
1 Lotus Petal
1 Chrome Mox

This thing is hellafast and pretty efficient as well. The mana base could use some work but other than that I'm optimistic this could be a contender. I've playtested the type two build
pretty extensively so I figure it can only be faster w/Moxen and stuff.
The main issue I'm having is whether or not to include Artifact lands
to make the manabase more reliable and whether I should play duress
or Force of Will, neither of which seem doable with so few colored cards
or mana. I figure that Atog and the Ravager are better in type one than
Broodstar since they aren't as painful post mana drain. Anyway I just
though I'd put in my two cents on the whole type one affinity thing
as I think the deck kicks ass...

Here is a link to a deck we have tested here in TO. We think it has potential but with the insane amount of rtifact hate about it can often just scoop. you will notice the similarities between the builds, I'm sure.

Yeah I understand the whole artifact hate problem but what decks packing
moxen don't have those issues? Anyway I think you pretty much need artifact lands to make it run so here's version 2.0...

Artifact:25
4 Myr Enforcer
4 Frogmite
4 Arcbound Ravager
4 Lightning Grieves
1 Sol Ring
5 Moxen
1 Lotus
1 Lotus Petal
1 Chrome Mox

Black:6
4 Disciple of The Vault
1 Yawgmoth's Will
1 Demonic Tutor

Blue:6
4 Thoughtcast
1 Timewalk
1 Ancestrall

Red:8
4 Atog
4 Shrapnel Blast

Land:15
4 Glimmervoid
1 Tolarian Academy
4 Great Furnace
3 Seat of the Synod
3 Vault of Whispers

This one's quite a bit more consistent. I think it's pretty much a roll of the
dice to play this but at least it's affordable (In a proxied tourney...). It's
great that they are actually creating type one viable cards instead of
crap nowadays.

I've seen a few control versions online that use FoW and Mana Drain with 2-3 Future Sights.  Has anyone tried a version like this?

A U/B control variant is definitely a possibility. I guess I'd build it like this...

Win Conditions:8
4 Broodstar
4 Myr Enforcer

Controllish stuff:12
4 Force of Will
4 Duress
4 Chalice of The Void

Draw/Search/Insane Brokenness:12
4 Thoughtcast
4 Thirst for Knowledge
1 Timewalk
1 Ancestrall
1 Yawgmoth's Will
1 Demonic Tutor

Mana:28
1 Tolarian Academy
1 Strip Mine
4 Glimmervoid
4 Seat of the Synod
4 Vault of Whispers
5 Moxen
1 Lotus
1 Sol Ring
1 Chrome Mox
1 Lotus Petal
1 Mana Crypt
4 Chromatic Sphere
1 Sol Ring

But I think it's best as an aggro deck based around raw speed...

I think this is the best posting of the deck so far...my suggestion for affinity would be to focus the engine of the deck around getting out a threat or two...the broodstars and the enforcers are both insane options with affinity, but Im curious if only 8 threats is enough, albeit there is a sweat amount of search.

What are the possiblities of moving chalices from the main deck to the board in place of Mana Drains, and then adding a morphling or two in place of a few chromatic spheres (since in a two color deck with power you won't often need to filter mana, and there is a fair bit of card drawing slots)?  Thoughts?

Doesn't anyone play with Null Rods in your environment?
