For quite some time now, I have been striving to build a deck using this amazing destroyer of combo worlds. I have put together decks using it of all different kinds, with varying degrees of success, but all very humble, nothing great. Creatureless, madness, ZooPing, Draw7, everything I have tried.

Fast forward 1.5 years to today.  Embarassed

I am still building decks around this card, but nothing has every worked well. It is begging me, insisting to me in soft, low tones, that it can be my win card.

Is this amazing card, with so many uses, destined to always remain in my sideboard as my Slayer of Combo?

Or do some of you have some ideas for how it can be put in a deck, if not as the staple beatdown, then as part of the win condition?

Have you seen Eastman's Keeper build in the T1 forum?

It looks like a pretty fun deck. I have also seen many Suicide decks built for control/combo metas that maindeck it as well as the evil combo-wrecking partner, Null Rod.

Sure, I read that. He is using Chains as mostly a metagame answer, where it is simply in his deck to stop his opponents draw (because draw effects are soooo common in Type 1), and "sneaking" around chains by using scepter/FI during his opponents draw... This is basically how I use it in my sideboard. He is only running two maindeck.

I wondered if anyone had built an interesting & good deck using Chains as the backbone, perhaps even running 4 of them Main Deck, while wishing all the time it could run 8.

There used to be a deck based around the Anvil of Bogarden / Chains of Mephi. combo. Then backed with a few Squees and such, you can lock your opponent.
Unfortunately, I have no clue what the deck exactly looked like.
