Hi,

I live in England and MTG over here is dreadful, well at least where I played (I quit for 8 months) and the reason I quit was because I was bored of it because I used to win all the games where I went. They didn't play competively, which is great for them but made my games boring.

Now I have got back into MTG only to find out that the magic group where I played (~15 Casual players) have split up so I have to play online only, this helps in many ways but also lowers the interest level.

Pros:
  • Unlimited Card Pool
  • Automatic Match Details (Apprentice Chat Buffer)
  • Ability to record anything down at will on Notepad/MS Word for more complicated strategies.
  • Seemingly infinate number of players to play against, competitive.
  • [/list:u]

    Cons:
  • Sitting at a computer for every game?
  • Doesn't have the same atmosphere.
  • There are a lot of people who will waste your time.
  • A win isn't as thrilling as it is in RL.
  • Prized Tournaments are hard to find online.
  • Wishes are annoying to use.
  • [/list:u]

But playing online is my only option and I'm not willing to play MTGO because it's too expensive for something you don't physically own and I like to play with T1 decks which MTGO doesn't allow.

So now that I can only play online I am able to analyse every match I have using the Chat Buffer and then see where I went wrong and made a bad choice, this will be great for improving skills.

Does anyone have the same situation as me?

    Thanks in Advance
    Tom

Well, after a bunch of my team members quit or took breaks or whatever, I don't really have anyone to consistantly playtest against. I normally hate online play, but it is literally my only option. I'm not sure what the point of your post is, but yes, I am in remotely the same situation.

They're not so bad in MWS.

Though the bugs are worse...

Which city's nearest home for you? I know a couple of places around me that play, although interest is declining at one of them. If not, then I'm willing to play apprentice games when I'm available and not at school, which is not often but never mind!
