Hi folks!
I've been playing this Elfball (or Burning Elves) deck for several months but i found out that it isn't that much fun to play in multiplayer with e.g. 6 people.

Lands (14)
12 Forest
2 Mountain

Elves (26)
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Fyndhorn Elves
4 Skyshroud Elf
4 Quirion Elves
4 Priest of Titania
4 Quirion Ranger
2 Wellwisher

Burn (7)
1 Disintegrate
3 Kaervek's Torch
3 Fireball

More and faster Mana (10)
4 Fires of Yavimaya
2 Ashnod's Altar
4 Vitalize

Utility (5)
2 Sylvan Library
2 Foster
1 Shattering Pulse

So i started to build a Elves/Fires Deck with a second win-opportunity: Fatties.

Elves (22)
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Fyndhorn Elves
4 Skyshroud Elf
4 Quirion Elves
4 Priest of Titania
2 Wellwisher

Attack (10)
4 Saproling Burst
4 Blastoderm
2 Woodripper

Utility (14)
4 Fires of Yavimaya
2 Sylvan Library
2 Spidersilk Armor
2 Fireball
2 Kaervek's Torch
2 Vitalize

Lands (14)
12 Forest
2 Mountain

But I still don't like it. It is still too straight and can not handle enough to play it in multiplayer.

I'd like to turn it into a multiplayer deck which is fun to play and can react to nearly everything my opponents do, but I still wanna play an elves-deck and the changes have to be cheap, I'm just a poor casual player Wink

I've been thinking about Skullclamp which is a cool card, but I don't own that many new cards (stopped to play after invasion) and would like to build it with the stuff I have.
I recently got a "Gaea's Herald" which could be usable in this deck: It helps me playing out my elves and is an elf itself.
So what do you think, what do I have to change to disturb my opponent'
s' play and to make this deck more fun to play?

How could you pass up the opportunity to play Channel? With Wellwisher and alot of turns, you can make big fireball go boom.

Why not play rolling thunder over some of the other burn spells, just to take out several opponents with one spell?

I'm sitting here comatose for a few minutes wondering if our friend here has ever seen a real Elfball deck......

Ok Blub, Channel is a must and so is Rolling Thunder. If counter-control is prominent in your multiplayer area (then kill them for being stupid enough to play control in multi) you can play with Xantid Swarm which absolutely ruins counter every first turn. If they FoW it, then theyre already at a disadvantage.

Running 2 Wisher seems like a smart play (esp if youve got heavy burn in your area), but this is multiplayer and playing 4 wishers means 2x the life Smile .

If you are going to blend two variants together you should know it won't work as well. Especially with Elfball, you need all those spaces for mana and accelleration. If you can afford it, find some Taiga, they are essential. Once you have them you can add Land Grant (well, you could add it with out them too, either way...). Land Grant decreases the number of lands you have to play in the deck. I went from around sixteen before I played LG, to around 8 (4 Taiga, 4 Forest). For more mana acelleration, you could also pick up some foothills if you enjoy fetching Wink

I found that when it was all out on the board, I could create more mana than I needed. I tried Upwelling for a short time, but then I ran to KIller Bees. You should replace one of your beefs with them. Oh, and Kamahl rules as a booster. Other options to get your horde out faster and bigger include: Slate of Ancestry, Tribal Unity, Overrun, Skyshroud Poacher, and Collective Unconcious.

Also, since elves it is, why not call it Burning Elves? Elvish Warrior, Llanowar Sentinel, (the one with kicker 8 and trample Razz), Elvish Soultiller, Voice of the Woods, Timberwatch, Hivemaster, Taunting,  Defiant , Treetop, Heedless...Elves rule!

Oh and, just for fun in multi, throw an Ensnaring Bridge in from time to time, just to make people angry. Twisted Evil

Hope this helped. Any questions, ask.

Peace Cool

You can make it go really the deck go very fast using, aluren, recycle, and abundance.   Try using a cordonant crossroads also and gaea's cradle.

This is my elfball deck it works around creating large burn with 25-55 elves.

Creatures
4x Llanowar Elves
4x Fyndhorn Elves
4x Skyshroud Elves
3x Wood Elves
4x Mulatni's Acolyte
2x Rofellos
4x Priest of Titania

Card Drawing
4x Skullclamp

Enchantments
4x Dual Nature
4x Concordant Crossroads
2x Exploration
1x Earthcraft
1x Fastbond
2x Alluren

Win Conditions
3x Kaervek's Torch

Mana
12x Forests
1x Mox Emerald
1x Gaea's Cradle

Quick overview:
Mox Emerald: Switch for forest makes little difference in deck
Dual Nature: More bang for the buck, yes acolyte's and wood elves abilities trigger when they come into play as tokens. Also when you play one priest and they tap for 12 a piece you see what I mean.
Skullclamp: This slot was originally filled with recycle. Recycle is too dangerous to have in play for long periods of time. Skullclamp works very well with the acolytes.

Suggestions for Multi:
Change kaerveks for fanning the flames to nail it all plus with multiple elves in play, you could go for a Coat of Arms deck. Also this deck in its current form can beat Tog decks. Not good tog decks but tog dying to elves is something to be proud of in my opinion.
