So I get to Dreamers for the monthly unlimited proxy night. Usually it's sanctioned, the regulars are there, and there is generally better competition. Tonight, I think there was ~14 people.

On to the report :
my deck list with some SB tweaks not listed

round 1: Gay/R
game 1: we both play some land, I brainstorm and do some searching. He plays Standstill, but I do not care. I brainstorm at the end of his turn and then Show and Tell during mine. It resolves. He scoops when finding out that I'm playing with Darksteel Colossus.

game 2: I have a first turn Lotus, Snt, DC with Force backup. (which I didn't even need). He scoops. I win the match in 4 blinding turns total. This gives me LOTS of time to scout.
1-0

Upon scouting, I see 2 Tog, 1 GAT, 'Big Fat' (rnd 4), Workshop Slaver, 2 Gay/R, 2 Sliver decks!!, O. stompy W/O Bazaar (wtf, unlmd proxy duh?), 1 WDragon, Rg Q.Dryad, and maybe a couple straglers.

Round 2 Sliver.dec
game 1: He plays a pair of gay slivers. I twist his hand and then play Show and Tell with Colossus, I swing for lethal.

game 2: Just like the first, sans the twisting. I think a pair of Duress instead.
2-0

Round 3 Workshop Slaver This is a fun match. Im playing Don.  He's not the greatest with the deck and makes some mistakes, but oh well.  It's nice to see a new face with a full real set of everything.
game 1: My opening hand looks like this: Lotus, SNT, SNT, DC, DC, Delta, Sol Ring. I fear a Memnarch or something that can ravage me, but luckily, when I open with lotus, snt, Dc he drops MEMORY JAR! So I think a bit. I break the delta for an Underground Sea, Sol ring, then finally let him have a turn. He drops some mana. My next turn: I swing then cast SNT thats in my hand knowing he can pop Jar in response, which he does.
I end up getting a Colossus in that Jar to show out, plus a whole grip of mana, brainstorm and duress. He puts out a Memnarch with the second Show. Unfortunetely for him, he cant steal anything with Workshop mana. I swing for lethal

Game 2: I side in 2 Matrix and draw one in my opening. how nice. I Time walk, cast it, then set up a Show and Tell/Colossus. His man-plan fails because I have Metal Elvis for smashing face with.
3-0

Round 4: Monotone? from TMD playing what we internally dubbed "BIG FAT" Chris Byrnes is one of the few really dedicated type 1 players there, and obviously he has chosen a good deck. He did mention that he got the deck off TMD. So this ones for you Rico Suave.

Game 1: I get some acceleration and a wish, which is needed to respond to his 1st turn welder, second turn Memnarch. I cunning wish for consult and consult for the lonely Matrix. This buys me some time but not enough. He eventually plays a Titan and has too many attackers for me to prevent lethal damage.

Game 2: I side in 2 matrix. I LDV for one. (im playing with 1 LDV and 1 Impulse as opposed to 2 Impulse) So I get a Matrix into play, I duress him and see 2 Sundering Titans. He topdecks Rack and Ruin and kills my mox and matrix. Things are not good because he also has a welder. Meanwhile, i have the combo in hand, but it would be suicide be cause my DC would turn into a Pearl. He beats me.
3-1

So we go with a Top 4. 1st seed is Big Fat and 2nd is STD, 3rd and 4th belong to Gay/r and Slivers!!!. Amazingly, I've already played everyone in the top 4 tonight.

Quarters: Im playing vs Gay/r kid again.
Game 1: he gets out a standstill after I do a bunch of broken plays developing mana and getting something countered and we both play 'land go' for the longest time. End of his turn, i bait him with a LDV, which he forces. My turn, I cast Yawgmoth's Will. This results in me getting a DC and him scooping. He made a bunch of mistakes. Heh, kids.

Game 2: He mulls to 5, I duress him. he has a hand full of creatures and only a wasteland to do stuff with. I go broken with acceleration, recall, Show and Tell turn two. That's game boys.

Finals. Somehow Chris manages to finally lose a game and then another. Slivers beat him. What.The.Fuck?? It gets worse.

Game 1, He gets a few early beats with slivers knocking me down to 10. I get Show and Tell for a Future sight. I do a bunch of broken set up, he gets me to 6. I have to break 3 fetches, bringing me to 3. I get out 2 Colossus thinking I can go down to one and swing, meanwhile Im sitting with FOUR Forces and a Duress in hand. I fail to notice his Winged Sliver, so he just flies over next turn and I die. How sad.

Game 2: I tinker out a DC turn 2 with a turn 3 Timewalk. Nuff said.

Game 3: I draw a bunch of mana but have Fact or Fiction, (the only card sided in for the useless Matrix here) Force, and Show. I take a few points, cast FoF eot and force his counter to resolve FoF. Too bad I only see a Show and mana from it. He separates SnT and mana, i take Show. I proceed to draw nothing but land and mana the rest of the game. So slivers beat me too.

It gets worse. I realize that his deck was completely Powerless, even on the sole Proxy tournament of the month. Go figure, the one deck that wins it all was the only one not powered up. Bah.  This guy truly is the next poster child for budget rogue slivers in T1.

There is nothing here to brag about, but it was fun nonetheless.

Props:
Slivers, apparently.

Good job at the tourney.  It didn't face the fiercest of opposition, but ah well.

By the way, what does that sliver deck look like?  I'm geniunely interested...

It was unpowered at an unlimited proxy tournament.  He mentioned not drawing any Swords to Plowshares and I never saw Force in the two matches we played.  He had Crystalines, Muscles, and that 1cc white sliver from onslaught along with many crazy lands like thran quarry, reflecting pool, etc.   It was like ww at dulmen, except on a much smaller scale.
