MTG In London?

Hey. I'm an American native, about to move to live in the Wake Forest University house in London. Obviously, I play magic, especially T1, avidly, and was wondering who here would know how to get involved with the MTG community there. What store(s) should I visits, who should I talk to to begin playing tourneys over there and such. If it matters, I'll be there from Mid-August through December. Thanks guys!

I know that london is in england which happens to be on an island but if you cross the channel the Germans have tournaments as well as the dutch and I think sometimes the Belgians and French. I don't think any of them are proxies though, so stock up on your power!!

I'm originally from UK, but didn't start playing until after I moved away from there (which was like 12 years ago). I seem to remember the members quequeeg and tanadan (from the old site) are from there. I did a bit of digging around online, but couldn't find the first thing about type 1 events in London. However, here's some links to general mtg stuff in case you didn't find them already:

This site seems to be some sort of base for MTG events in England. From the tournament lists, it looks like you might need to "invest" in a little limited play Sad
