It's highly unlikely that it's an actual Masticore, considering it's on the Reserved List.

They have broke the list before.

However, from a t2 standpoint, I don't like the card. An artifact creature should never be better than a non-artifact creature of equal cost. Although this part of the color wheel is already broke in t1, no need to smash it in t2 as well. (Though in current t2 masticore is too slow to be that special, but he would have some neat tricks in 12post).

Edit - In any case, this has 0 effect on t1. Why is this in the t1 forum?

They haven't broken the list since they revamped it, and the idea behind the last reworking of the reprint policy was to streamline it and leave it alone. However you are correct they have done it before.
