Very simple, but critical to my deck.  Would Helm of Awakening reduce the casting cost of Brainstorm, Spoils of the Vault, Vampiric Tutor, etc. to 0?  \

Thanks.

No.  Helm only reduces generic, not colored mana costs.

In the future, post rules questions in the rules forum.

No

If it has a colored mana in its mana cost (its not an artifact). It would reduce it down to the colored mana (So Discenchant would become W no matter how many helms you have in play).

In short No none of the spells you have listed there would go to a 0 casting cost with the helms.
