As you might have guessed, I'm hoping to start a playtest team with some members here on TMD.

What I'm primarily aiming to achieve is establishing at least one innovative deck, as well as building reputations for members of this group. This is why I'm asking for basic users only- I'm positive there are great players around who don't have full memberships and would jump at the chance to help build a reputation.

I've been looking around and already have a few members in mind who I'm sort of hoping will ask to get in on this. I really don't want to reject anyone, but no team gets anywhere by taking all players regardless of skill level. Also, I'd prefer if discussion about this was kept to PM, for obvious reasons.

So if you're into testing new spins on already popular archetypes and are available for fairly frequent testing, drop a line. The more information you include in your PM, the better chance you have really. I'll typically want to playtest at least a few games with anyone before giving them a definite answer.

It might be a better idea to test the existing decks and try to make new changes to them.

True innovation is very rare in Type1.  Budget players have been trying to find the deck which will break the barriers between power and budget for a long time, meeting with only moderate success.

One of the most useful tasks you could perform for this forum is to fine tune the existing decks that have been created, possibly finding better sideboard options.

Yet is you think you can break the mold and truly innovate, then you have my blessing.

Unfortunately, I won't have any time to playtest much over the summer.
