Yea so the title says it all, I was robbed and I lost my GAT deck that had ALL my power minus my Timetwister and Library.

I just want people to know about it in case any of the New Englanders come upon my cards or someone spots it on EBAY.

The stuff is pretty easy to move so I don't think this thread will work, but here's hoping. Please give me a PM if you find out anything.

My ruby is Signed and very whitened on the front

My pearl is also signed and beat to crap.

My other three moxes are in pretty decent shape.

My ancestral and lotus are mint

My timewalk has a bend across the Middle

My Italian drains are pretty mint

and the other random stuff were foil GAT cards, forces, and blue duals

This could be a blessing and a curse at the same time.

Now I have motivation to work hard again to get my power back, which means I will transform into Mr TradeHawk and Dr. Testing Fiend.  I have also learned my lesson and I'll be careful the second time around.

I will still be at all the big events like I planned, but for Gencon I know require the kindness of others to loan me some power so I can actually play the deck I was planning on running.

So even without my power, I will still be hitting VA and Gencon with FULL force, so do yourself a favor and BRACE YOURSELF.

And the Good Lord saw that he had Tog in his deck and smote him most savagely.....

I hope you get them back, even the toothy dudes.

If I ever play again I'm keeping my whole deck in hard plastic toploaders. Impossible to carry, let alone filch.

Good luck bringing vigilante justice to whomever stole your stuff.

Having gotten some stuff stolen from me too, I know that whatever I say won't really be consoling... but good luck finding the power/person.

If you find the person, you can murder them you know... its in the bible.

There is a special place in hell reserved for the lowlife who stole your power.  I imagine that he will be chained to a table forced to play ICT against pre-restriction Long for all eternity...

Seriously, I will let you know if I see anything that looks like a match.  Good luck re-acquiring power!

Don't lose hope.  Madmaniac21 lost some shit in Hadley a week ago, and the even the lazy farmland Hadley cops were able to find it.

With the current prize increase, is this happening more often? This is the second case I heard about recently...

Are there any precautions you take other than watching your cards closely and not giving them out of your hands?

5) Take your cards everywhere with you, even to the bathroom, or anywhere else you might go.

6) Try to leave your cards in the care of other people as little as possible.

7) Carry a shotgun or a really large sword.  If you have a reputation, people won't mess with you.

Actually, if you have your cards in toploaders, you will be targeted. Thieves who would normally just steal some shit from a Type 2 player will see a big stack of toploaders, and then assume that the rest of that guy's stuff is worth a lot, and try to steal that bag instead. How do I know this? Because it happened to one of my friends at GenCon SoCal this year, as well as another guy playing in toploaders the same event, the same day.

I would recommend carrying with you the bare minimum for what you need to play and trade with, and keeping it in a manageable backpack. This means no bigass dufflebags or small suitcases. When you're playing, keep one of the straps from the backpack wrapped/intertwined around one of your legs, and it shouldn't go anywhere. Always assume that there will be someone willing to steal your loot if given the opportunity, so ALWAYS watch it closely, even when trading, playing, or hollering at the bitches and hoes.

Spelling is tech.
