Well, that was one entertaining tournament.
If you saw a guy in a b/w Silver Surfer shirt with lines of blue spells set out on the table during the rounds that was me.
My Record was 3-4-1 With losses to Gat x2, Drain Slaver and Mono Green Madness w/ null rod and chalice maindeck.
The deck was originally created by Dave G. for type 1.5 but Dave S. ported it over to type 1.

First things first, I made the sideboard completely wrong, expecting that there would be a large amount of Workshops and Chalice flying around.
My wins at the tournament were to: Belcher?(I think thats what he was playing...it was a two land something that had a habbit of stalling turn one after his initial land grant); Germbus with basic counterspells; and Keeper. All my wins came after the 3rd round so I wasn't walking around the upper eschalons of the tournament at all that day.

The basic idea of the deck is to abuse the ole high tide to create a bit of mana during your opponents turn to search for draw power, then use reset tu untap and search more, then finally drop their deck into their graveyard and force them to draw a card with either Stroke or Words of Wisdom.
The toughest matchup were both games I had against Gat.
Round 1 of the tournament was Gat. I managed to set off turn 3.5 (opponents turn), in the second game, then third game kept a one land hand with what looked to be a turn 2-3 win if another land came up....it didn't.
The second game against Gat was round 3 of the tournament and that was just bad luck on my part. He cast mind twist for 6 against me and I tried to set the deck off, but never saw a brainfreeze and after 2 meditates and a thrist for knowledge I had in hand 8 lands, one force of will, and a words of wisdom, having just discarded 2 lands to the Thirst. and three mana floating, and he had a 4/4 dryad on the board.
Second game I had a one land hand again with 3 high tides, reset and 2 meditates. He had a strip mine. I could not topdeck to save my life and died on turn 3 after he time-walked with his 7/7 dryad.
I wish I could help out with more of the tournament remembered but I lost my notes somewhere near the convention center.
Well, have a good night everyone. Peace.
