White needs more mechanics, and it has always been a friend to artifacts (see many Argivian cards). I think that white can get the "put into play" bleed from blue and green, and white always rushes to the aid of a defender - blue wouldn't come help, and while green would help, it wouldn't help an artifact.

I think this is fine as is given that its very conditional and the white commitment.  Id almost say you could make it w1 but its just hard to gauge the power level.

it's cool, and the opponent clause should rule out abuse.

I've been trying to think of a way to abuse this and can't. Given the power level of Tereri's Response when it actually works, we can see that making something only work if targetted by an opponent allows a card to do something very powerful. I like this card, cost, ability, and gameplay are all good.

Note: Putting something into play is one of those abilities that has a big warning sign next to it. I think this card has a number of safeguards and I think it is safe but I am concerned that there is a combo out there for this. I also think Jebus would hate this, with newbies insisting on 'countering' things using Leonin Abunas.

Still putting something into play against someone who is never going to control another turn possibly falls under the 'win more' heading.

I was thinking more low tech like Chains of Vapor/Acid/Plasma but having an artifact in play and WW and Distress Signal in hand and say U for Chain of Vapor and the opponent actually choosing the artifact and say Colossus or Bargain in hand is not IMHO a dangerous combo.

I am fine with this card. It might have room for some short flavour text.

If that starts to be a consideration for card design, I'm gonna shoot somebody.

Necro, Tog and Bargain are bad cards if someone Mindslavers you. Obviously any card designer should up the power level of all cards with the potential to do anything bad to yourself and downgrade the power level of cards that are good when you control the opponent's turn.

Note that this is the second time that Matt has mentioned the M word in the CCF. He is getting as bad as me and Portal.

Of course I'm not seriously considering Mindslaver when designing cards (For that matter, I don't consider Bargain/Academy/Jar/Fastbond either). But dandan said he felt it comboed with something, and I answered the implied question.
