Hi all,

- Introduction -

While all the world's players sadly gather themselves in circle around the PsychhhhhAtooooog's Tomb, I must tell you about another win of the usual 4C-HulkSmash here in Italy.

On the other hand, we didn't found that his matchups were so bad.
4C-C and all the other forms of control decks are under control when you are playing Hulk, excluding some good build of Slavery.dec.
A lot of our usual StormBased.decs can be doomed with the right amount of Duresses, Counters and Speed, while Aggro not have been a problem with our maindeck configuration

The tourney was an huge one and we gather 90 players this time.
It was a sanctioned one with good prizes as usual. So no proxy allowed.
We have a decent mix of good powered decks and good hate unpowered ones.
REL2 this time because of the lack of an head judge of the appropriate level.

The Top8 is really interesting.
We have a solid equilibrium among the major different archetipes played, with a good preference for playing a deck that can win in an huge turn.

1 Control-Combo ( 4C-HulkSmash! )
3 Pure Combo ( 2 TPS and a 3C-DAR-gon )
2 Aggro-Combo ( 1 StackerMonobrown and 1 Welder-MUD )
2 Aggro-Control ( 1 3C-Control-Madness and an Ru-ControlDenialDeck )

Excluding the pure combo decks, anyone of the other decks can play both the role of definition really well.

These are the Top8

1 Roberto Gallea (Hulk Smash)
2 Diego Fasciolo (Tentrix UB)
3 Marco Marotta (Welder Mud)
4 Mauro Bonino (Divoramondo)
5 Davide Foresti (Stacker)
6 Maurizio D'Isanto (Chill's Benga Kiodo)
7 David Beduzzi (Tentrix UB)
8 Ruggero Moroni (Madness URG)

Despite the final results, these are the

This type of division can easily show you which are the most efficient archetypes and the different results compared with the final positions.
If you look at the different position in the final classific you can realize HOW MUCH an unpowered deck poorly perform if compared to a powered one.
Now I divided them into play categories to underline the different deck-power-level among them

The meta over there seems to be getting better and better. I'm going to try that older styled controllish Hulk. I played a very similar list many months ago when aggro was very popular here and did very well (2 deeds etc.). I will see how strong its matchups are now as I think we've been hasty in ourdiscarding Hulk. I think the road it has been taken down in the US is probably a dead end so moving backwards a bit is helpful.

Also the UB Tendrils lists that I first started playing when I saw them in a top 8 over there continue to make top 8. I and a few friends who have tried out the deck in tournaments have also made the top 8 using lists similar to those you still use in Italy.

Overall I'm very impressed. Thanks again for the updates Matt. Though your English isn't perfect you obviously put time into your report and the information comes across clearly.
