I recently bought a new computer, complete with DVD burner. I currently have Nero as my DVD burning software, but it doesn't burn copyrighted movies. This being the case, I was looking for the program DVDX Copy or another program that would allow me to burn copyrighted DVDs. Any help would be appreciated.

Mods, I asked Zherbus before I posted this, so there isn't a problem.

Though I've never used it I've heard good things about http://www.dvdshrink.org.  It doesn't seem to be able to burn itself, but probably does what you need combined with Nero.  I'm gonna keep talking with a few pointless sentences because I don't want a one-line post.

BigChuck, this is pretty funny, because I ran into the same problem this week when I got my new computer.

I'll check out the site nargoT posted, but this software is extremely hard to find- i've been trying to for awhile.

I'll let you know if I find anything, Chuck.

EDIT: Appearently, DVD Shrink needs a De-Cryption program to work. I hate computers.

EDIT 2:  DVDDecrypter is the program they reccomend, and can be found easily on Kazaa or Sharaeza. Its not as easy as burning a CD- you have to DeCrypt the DVD, then Rip it to your HD, then burn. It takes about 14 GB.

I like DVD Decrypter.  I use it when I make XviD rips of my movies.

CloneCD and CloneDVD are the perfect programs for copying protected stuff.

Important note with CloneDVD: you need to remove the CSS-encryption first. I use a program called AnyDVD for that, which runs in the background and removes the encryption as you read the dvd from your dvd-reader.

DVDXCopy sucks unless you have the platinum edition or whatever (the two versions under that either can't copy menu structures or don't allow you to adjust compression levels, depending on which one you choose). It's also expensive and clunky. The only advantage is that it has a built in decrypter. But you don't need that Smile

Your best bet:

Use DVDdecrypter (download it free&legal at www.dvddecrypter.com) to crack *any* security.

For burning you can use pretty much anything but I've always found Pinnacle CD&DVD to be by far the best compromise between ease of use, options and image quality.

I know that for Mac there is a program called Yade that does this. I do not know if there is a windows version of it.
