OK... so I couldn't come up with a better name than Vodalko, you do it.
This is the timmy card in me. Someone had to design the spellbombs right? and the head Vedalken better be one smart dude... here is my card:
I also want a blue creature that says good game when reanimated and there should be room for a Timmy do everything card in any set, no? Funny, because I notice that when designing cards, amateur designers tend to avoid them for fear of looking like Timmy, but you need these to keep the balance in the set, to turn on the Johnny instinct and to build decks around. (Will the creature type and text actually fit in there?.... hey, it fits on Cromat, no?) This card begs for flavour text, but there's simply no room Smile

Vodalko, Spellbomb Creator
3UUU
Legendary Creature - Vedalken Wizard
0/8
UU: Return target creature to its owners hand.
RR: Vodalko, Spellbomb Creator deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
GG: Target land becomes a 3/3 creature until end of turn.
WW: Gain 5 life
BB: Target player discards a hand from his hand.
4: Draw a card.

Things I like: It can save itself with the bounce ability, and in blue flavour, the bounce and the draw abilities are about the only things youll be able to play unless you reanimate it. Its so Timmy. Smile
Things I dont like: Where are you going to get the mana to play those abilites once it comes into play? Its no beatstick. You have to build your deck around it.

This doesn't really feel like a spellbomb creator. It doesn't seem to me that the creator of the spellbombs actually had to be able to cast all of the spells that were encapsulated in the spellbombs. Rather, his talent should be to encapsulate spells cast by others. Rather than what you have, you could do something like this:

Spellbomber
{3}{U}{U}
Creature -- Vedalken Wizard

{2},{T}: Remove an instant or sorcery card in your hand from the game. You may play that card as though it were in your hand as long as Spellbomber remains in play.

That's not very good, but some variation on that with a discount to the spell's mana cost or making it uncounterable may be in order. You get the idea, though. Rather than mimic exactly what the spellbombs do, try to mimic the way the spellbombs work. If you want an example, I created a card for our set called "Isochron Spellbomb." that has a similar effect. You might use it as inspiration.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

Well, the flavour of the card is not so much a wizards that takes spells form others and turns them into spellbombs. This is the guy who created and designed the spellbombs... he took his own magic and encapsulated it for sale. That's why hes a legend. I think that the point of the card is that he can actually cast all those spells, because he's just such a cool wizard.

Actually, we have a whole bunch of timmy cards in the master list. While I appreciate the fact that this dude can duplicate the effect of every spellbomb, I still feel the flavor is somewhat lacking.  Not to quench your enthousiasm, but I don't really like this. You drifting lands were designed much better.

You are right... actually, I just see it now as a pretty bad Timmy card... not like Spiritmonger, Pristine Angel or Morphling. (The good Timmy cards.)
