This is the best 35$ store credit I have ever used. I swear to God, if some stupid magic player ever pisses me off at a touney again, he is getting this 5 lb ball stuck in his skull. This thing is AMAZING, I nailed my metal recycling bin a couple times, the dents are fucking huge, and I even made a couple of holes (Those big BFI trash thingies). I feel like a little boy that just found his new favorite toy. I was gonna get a two sided battle axe, but that would have been too hard to take across the border. Are these things even legal in Canada?? Anyways, here is a pic. WUT!!!

It should have more spikes. The spike density is so low that there is a slight chance that it will only graze the skin on the victim's head rather than pierce the skull. Maybe coul could add some cutom spikes or something.

Damn you Adrian... my 4-foot longsword is no longer the most menacing thing at Canadian tournaments... Either way, I don't think I could bring that in. But maybe that morning star will make people think twice about being in my way...

Maybe coul could add some cutom spikes or something. I don't know the math involved, but there is NO SUCH THING as being grazed by a morning star or any of the other "physics weapons" like flails, quarterstaves, and the like. You either dodge it, or you die. This would never, ever pierce a skull-- it would tear a big chunk out on a glancing blow and go right through on a direct hit. This is a weapon designed to batter open full plate armor; the spikes are there to aid in puncturing steel upon a direct hit.

At the same tournament I used my store credit to purchase a Samurai Sword It looks a lot like that one, slight differences though. Handy tip when crossing the border: You only need to tell them what they ask you, so when they ask if you have anything to declare, you say "no". Are these things even legal in Canada??
This is Canada. Anything flies up here. Have you even seen their women? Before you make judgement on our women, you have to travel to Vancouver first and check out all the Oriental women. They're a lot better than the ones back east.

Like, this weapon works through blunt force trauma. Who cares if the spike wouldn't actually hit the skull - you're swinging a five pound object at someone at a relatively high rate of speed. Chances are what will happen is that the ball will go through the offending section of the skull, turn the brain to mush, then destroy the lower cheekbones or the facial structure on the downswing. The resulting mess is not pretty.
This particular weapon would probably not actually break a plate open, but rather what's behind it. Most medieval body armors derive their strength not from absorbing blows, but by spreading them out. However, in the case of a concussion weapon like this, what would happen is that you'd dent the armor - but then you'd push the armor right back into the head or rib cage since that's the weakest portion of the target. Ow.

Maybe if the spikes were laced with poison, you know, like REAL weapons! Then it would be able to do some serious damage. I'm with Bram here, it says "Hi, can I come and play in this fight too?" Hardly a primary concern. I bet this Morning Star isn't even a +1.

This particular weapon would probably not actually break a plate open. A well made morning star will definitely tear through plate. It might take a few hits, but I've seen it done.
