I'm posting this on behalf of the TO, Denis.  The tournament will be held at his shop, The Card Den, located on 68 Lakeshore Drive, North Bay, Ontario.  Start time is at 12:00pm (approximately).  Deck registration is not required, nor do you have to phone ahead before showing up.

It is  5 proxy and entry is $15.00 Canadian, which translates roughly into 12 USD.

It will be organised with a round robin in randomly determined pools based on the # of participants, with a cut to t8 and single elimination from there.

Prizes:

1st place:  VG Legends Mirror Universe

2nd place: Revised Plateau

3rd place: Revised Savannah.

I'm not sure about the exact condition of the duals but I think they were better than the VG of the mirror universe.

Judging: There is no one here to judge the event but there is a computer which can look up rulings to solve most disputes, and several players here, including myself, have fairly good knowledge of the rules as well.

If there is anything you would like to discuss with the TO or any questions I cannot answer you can phone The Card Den at (705) 497-1326.

I am writing a report about the last 5 proxy at The Card Den and will link to it when it is completed.

I know the prizes aren't that great so I don't expect any of you guys to come up from the US but I am hoping some Ontario residents at least will make the drive to come play magic with us.  Enough people showing up to support the prize structure is not an issue as we have enough local players for that, so if you show up you are pretty much certain to have a great day of magic and/or trading, etc.  (I am not sure if dealers are welcome or not, please check with the TO if you plan on selling in his store)

And that's pretty much it.  As I said, if anyone has any questions I can answer them as best I can or even call the TO to check for you if you don't wanna pay the longdistance Razz.

Edit: This is the link to the report I wrote after winning the last 5 proxy we had: http://www.themanadrain.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19543

We have rather cyclic discussion, and I fully believe that someone so inclined could create a rather accurate computer program which could do a fine job impersonating any of us.

North Bay is in the middle of nowhere. I went by there this summer on vacation. Also, how can you not have judges but want a large crowd?

$15 a head for a VG Mirror Universe!? At least give a cash prize. I love magic and all, but I'm not driving 4 hours for a useless prize. 1st place should at least pay for the drive.
