I wanted to make a card that was powerful, and very blue in nature. This gives your opponent around 6-7 turns before it kills them.

"As an additional cost..." should be how this is worded.

Jebus, it's an enchantment, so the activated ability with a colon is appropriate, neh?

Does this cost really mean anything, though? After the first time you activate it, you're in topdeck mode, so there's really no reason not to continue to activate it every upkeep after the first. Unless you've drawn some additional cards and haven't cast them, you've got nothing to lose. It'd be a more meaningful (albeit harsher) cost if you could only do it during your draw phase. That way, the only way you could play the spell you just drew would be if it were an instant (or if you didn't activate Pathos.)

ACK, I totally read this as a Sorcery and didn't get to the "once a turn" part.

I think this is way too strong though.

I agree, for only 1UU this gives your opponent a horrendous clock. Almost as fast as Caustic Tar, which cost twice as much.

Cleaner wording:
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may discard your hand. If you do, target player puts the top six cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.

And I suggest this card would be a lot more interesting if the condition was
"At the beginning of your upkeep, you may discard your hand. If you discard one or more cards this way, ..."

How about, "Discard a card from your hand: target opponent puts the top 3 cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard."

I'm trying to run the gambit between 2 and three cards, because 2 would be very weak, and three is pretty strong. What do you guys think?
