Today I ventured to AK Comics in beloit Wisconsin.    I didn't write down play for play but I can tell you pretty much what happened play for play until someone had board control.

So I wake up at 3 o'clock in order to work over a hangover.   by9 I left my house in Grafton Wisconsin... which is about 20 miles north of milwaukee.   I had been playtesting my version of the old Meandeck 7/10 list and came up with a version that was more to my liking, being both personal preferences and metagame choices, expecting at least 3 fish, a couple mono blue, 4CC, and every other random deck packing wastes.   I had a heads up that my friend Gregg Seaverson was playing fish, as well as Adam and also I was informed that GWS would be there in full swing, and the guys I know from reports and watching them play don't mess around.   I have only played Manuel that I can remember from that crew, but he is a solid player, having played SmemmenBLue.

The decklist I used was as Follows:

1 darksteel citadel
6 island
4 volcanic island
1 flooded strand
4 polluted delta
7 solomoxen
1 mana vault

1 crucible of worlds
1 mindslaver
4 goblin welder
3 sundering titan
1 treskellion

1 frantic search
4 accumulated knowledge
2 intuition
4 brainstorm
4 thirst for knowledge
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Time Walk
1 Tinker (for the win)
4 Force of Will
4 Mana drain

The deck is pretty straightforward.  I had talked Last night with JP Meyer on Aol Instant Messanger and he gave me the advice to play with citadel/Crucible instead of the PentiBus.  With the amount of Fish expected, and the fact that I HATE CEREBRAL ASSASSIN, I mainboarded the Treskillion.  It worked out a couple games against fish, but in the long end, it didn't matter anyways.

I looked over the field before putting a sideboard together, and noticed that in the building there was 4cc, fish, mono-red WelderAggro, The man show, TPS, Draw 7, DeathLong, ControlSlaver, you know the normal random metagame.

So my sideboard looked something like this:
3 red elemental Blast
3 Lava Dart
3 Sphere of Combo Loses
2 Blood moon
1 Platnum Wins
1 Duplicant
2 Rack and Ruin

Okay I thought No Cerebral Assassin.  That deck just rapes my face.  But there were at least 3 fish decks, maybe 4, and I knew with around 20 players, chances are, i'd play one.  There were also 5 other welder decks, so the Tresky stayed Mainboard.  I had an issue with 4cc getting a quick Angel, and if anyone tinkered a Collosus without me having a welder i Was sunk... so Duplicant was good sideboard tech for me.

So getting some Type 4 stuff for my deck and talking with Gregg and the other guys I knew there, round one was up, and I was playing against 4CC.

Round 1:  4cc

My dice was evil to me the whole day =-(
Game 1:  He goes first and goes land go.  I go land, Mox, Welder.  He has no answers, and it goes through.  He again goes Land (2 tundras) and proceeds to Plow my Welder.  Well, he attempted I should say.  I promptly forced, ditching Drain. I go second turn Land into Thirst discarding 7/10,  welding it and smack his dome for 21 as his only answer is a plow that gets drained.
Game 2:  Like an idiot I decided to side in Blood moon.  I see nothing but Volcanic islands while holding 7 blue cards, with a blood moon on the board as he gets his ONE BASIC PLAINS and cycles decree for 3.  7 turns later I die.
Game 3: I go back to the maindeck, switching one titan for a duplicant for the win.   I was expecting to see a 4/5 soullink but I didn't, and I slide out one decree token before taking 2 to the dome dying.

0-1, 1-2

Round 2:   Fish
Ah... the dreaded fish.  The guy was almost all foiled, from standstills to clouds to lavamancers and even his dazes.  It made me think he knew what he was doing, as someone normally only foils their deck when they've been playing it for awhile

Game 1:  Again my dice hates me and he goes first.  I keep a first turn welder second turn 7/10 hand with FOW backup.  The only problem, i needed a land.  He procedes to go Land Go.  I play sapphire, land, welder.  He forces, and I procede to cast Ancestral REcall targeting me... since i have amazing topdecking skills, i get 2 forces and a land.   I force and wleder sticks.
I forgot what happened midgame except he mox monkey's my sapphire, and I win by having a crucible, 3 islands, a citadel in play, and playing 2 moxes, and a slaver, which is countered, and then welded in under his mox monkey.  he had money open to eat my moxes, but didn't.
Game 2:  He gets the upper hand as I can't draw anything after he Lavadarts 2 of my welders.
Game 3:  I have him at 6, and he has energy flux.  I topdeck a Timewalk with a 7/10 on the board, and attack.  He blocks, and I take a walk.  I untap, draw my card, and he calls me on the Energy FLux.  He won.  I wouldn't have called him on it, because honerable thing to do is let the guy who should have won win the game, but to be fair, he didn't eat my moxen in responce to me welding AT ALL and he could have.   poor playing on my part also, so i cannot complain.

0-2, 2-4

yeah there's a lot of 1-1 and 0-2 so i decide that if i win out i can get in, so i stay.

Round 3:  MonoBlue
AGAIN I LOSE THE ROLL
Game 1:  MonoBlue is such a boring deck to play I kinda just zoned.  It went Him getting 2 phids, me countering, him countering, me countering, him drawing cards, me losing to a 'phling.
game 2: I win off 1 7/10 in play, one in the yard, and 2 active welders.
game 3: Goes just like game 1.  BORING.

So after that I end up dropping.   Oh well.

So next week I think I'm gunna pull a very jank move, and play the good old intruder_alarm-welder(dot)dec for the sapphire in milwaukee.  I have played serious decks every tournament and have lost horribly, while my friend Jamison plays things like Sneak Attack or Blue Belcher with sand squid and places in the top 4 so I hope my 'secret tech' (AKA scrubby deck idea) will catch a few.

Props:
AK for having a beta emerald for prize.
AK for having a beta sapphire (which will hopefully go towards prize in the future)
GWS for being cool shit
Matt Endross for having the BOMB type 4 stack.
Me for making the Ride
G for wearing the Pink shirt (that the Eau Claire kids trademarked him for)

Slops:
me for making numerous play errors.
my car for being really gay.
FARM COUNTRY for giving me NO exciting scenery
fish/monoblue for being the most boring decks to play against.
My ATM account for not magically filling itself.   (btw.. for the guys that were there... that McDonnalds smelled REALLY good... A-holes ;P )

That about does it for me trying to be smart.
