I’d like to congratulate Nazdakka as the winner of 3CB Tournament #44. Leveler came home again, winning fairly convincingly, with a few regulars not far behind. There were no winners of the mise-prize, but virtual came oh-so close.
The rules for this competition will be: Anything Goes!

How to read the table: Match the deck# on the left with the deck # on top. Append a 1 where appropriate. The #s on the right of that deck correspond to how many points that deck received versus the deck on top. (Once again append a 1 where appropriate. The 1's are missing to make the table clearer)

Is leveler ripe for banning? Each time I ask this, however, no one proceeds to play it at the next tournament. Meh. It seems to be very strong, though, and I’m half-tempted to ban it immediately. What do people think about it? Same deal with glacial chasm, too.
The choice of port for this metagame was not inspired. There were too many workshop decks to make it desperately effective, which is also shown by the presence of a naturalize deck near the top of the standings. When entering second decks, I always enter 2 decks that are both inherently powerful but will also do well in different metagames; usually the result is only one of them getting near the top, but no matter. A lot of the more powerful decks were out in force once more, another good sign.
I’m very tempted to ban virtual’s deck, as it was so close to winning the mise-prize. No reason to change policy just yet, though. Hopefully this won’t lead to an upsurge in mise-decks.
Sorry for the delay in getting them up - have had no time to get them done recently, but that should change for the next couple of tournaments.
Please post corrections/discussion.
