Since it hasn't been posted yet: The next 2 FNM cards will be Brainstorm and Mother of Runes. I got this info from this site here. ( well the pictures anyway) The Mother isn't really exciting but aint no crap either. The Brainstorm on the other hand is verry nice imo.

Ther is a post on this but in the special member section. I like both of the cards but they really used the wrong Brainstorm picture. It is a shame, IU wonder what next year will bring in terms of FNM. It would be cool if they made a Fire/Ice.

I'd stick to my normal foils - who would EVER want those over the old foils?

I really don't understand what you people have against the Mercadian Masques Brainstorm illustration. Okay, Ice Age's illustration older and therefore "classic" but it's really awful illustration. The Mercadian Masques illustration makes much better use of colour and features a more shapely, plausible face on it. It also seems to convey the idea of thinking, whereas the Ice Age illustration, rather lamely, seems to be trying to capture the idea of a brain "storming."

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

Yeah I really like the MM art, and I'm going to be so glad to see sweet foil Brainstorms in FNM (and it also makes sense they are MM because that was the set they coul be foil from)

The thing is, if you want the foil MM version it already exists. IA Brainstorm art would be cool simply because it doesn't yet exist in a "premium" form.

Depends on the deck for which Brainstorm art I would say. Like MUC or Fish I would use the MM art. For something like U/B Dragon or Hulk Smash I would use the IA art. I do like the Reanimate........but I never did like Mother of Runes. Now if only they would make a dci foil Strip Mine

Now if only they would make a dci foil Strip Mine There is already the DCI Wasteland (the MPR premium for 20 events); asking for Strip Mine is just greedy.

I do like the Reanimate........but I never did like Mother of Runes. Now if only they would make a dci foil Strip Mine I thought that the DCI Balance was cool, they need to do them as judge foils rather than as FNM/Arena cards. The main reason is that they're cards that can only be played in a format that nobody plays. Therefore, Joe Random would get upset when he gets his Player Rewards card and he can't do anything with it. But if you make them judge foils, this reduction of the number of them that are sent out becomes an advantage. Since there are fewer of them, this makes them worth more. Therefore, for the people that do get them, even if they can't use them at least they can sell them. Furthermore, since they're Type 1 cards, people can get a really obscene amount of money from them because Type 1 players love to throw money at cards that they already own.

DCI Strip Mine - who needs one? We've already got the four alternate art ones from Antiquities, foils would just turn something beautiful into, well, a painted-up tramp (not how I feel for normal foils, but the original Strips are too classic to touch). Mercadian Brainstorms - rock! Any idea when these are coming out? I checked the site - my browser didn't exactly read that as English

http://www.thehardlessons.com/I will break into your house while you aren't home and disguise myself as a chair. Then I will leave before you get home, but there will be a place at your table where I was a chair and you will wonder why there isn't a chair there. Then later I will leave the chair disguise on your doorstep and you will realize what has happened and you will be afraid all the time. Helter Skelter mother fuckers!
