Eternal Dragon and upkeep effects/abilities

Can someone plainscycle Eternal Dragon during upkeep and then pay www2 to return Eternal Dragon to hand from graveyard? The player had several Mirari's Wakes in play, so mana wasn't really an issue.

I don't know if all Upkeep triggered and activated abilities have been errata'd to be "At the beginning of upkeep". Have they? Or is it like Tapped Continuous Artifacts, where some turn off, but most don't.  Is there a hard rule (or rule of thumb) as to which kinds of Upkeep thingies only happen at the beginning of upkeep?

Eternal Dragon has two activated abilities.

One is plainscycling.  The other returns it to your hand from the graveyard.  

The second ability can only be played in the upkeep, but can be played as many times as you can pay for it and any time during the upkeep.

So, you can Cycle it, then return it, rinse and repeat and so on.

Most cards that said "During your upkeep" are now "At the beginning of your upkeep".  Check the Oracle to be sure.  There is no "rule" that dictates what they were changed to.  Some are even Activated abilities now "Well of Knowledge".
